Begins well, story line is developing but then it ends as though half way through the story. Not good at all.
I looked to see if it is a series but no. As such my rating has dropped to borderline three stars.

This is historical, set in Victorian times, about the abduction of a nineteen year old girl...adulthood was 21 then, and mainly of Clara who has a slim childlike body. One needs to remember the repression of women sexually in this era and lack of knowledge about female orgasm, which as far as men were concerned didn’t exist then!!! Some of the male specie haven’t moved on since then, I say, tongue in cheek.

This was set out to be about rich men, trustees of a society, who mainly have age play kinks with corporal punishment and anal fixations and wish to purchase submissively trained girl-women who have been abducted, and whom they can treat as children in a nursery setting...the intention of corporal punishment is their favoured control and arousal method...but the story never reaches this intended end.
It covers the abduction, isolation of abductees, then left with a nurse carer to be trained in the ways of this kink society, and a very naughty doctor who delights in his sexual humiliation of these girls, especially his anally orientated ideas and equipment aimed at keeping the girls humiliated, submissive and the men happy.

But then stops at the crucial point of his Lordship grabbing Clara and running with her...what a lousy ending, and why did Blushing Books allow this poor ending to appear on their publication listings as is?
Readers feel robbed.
There are some editing issues too...nothing major.
What could have been good is a let down.

The oddest thing I found about this book was that for a novel that was supposed to be about ageplay, there actually wasn't really any ageplay in it other than playing dress up with the young ladies. If they had taught the girls to say "Master" or even "Sir," it would have just made it a bit more conventional BDSM.

I really liked Clara. She went through so much and managed to persevere through all of it. The fact that she was such a natural submissive certainly helped and the ending, abrupt as it was, gave me some hope that things wouldn't be as bad for her as it initially seemed.

Ingrid was a bit of a cypher and it would have really helped to have fleshed her out a bit more - she did make a good if not totally evil villain. And all the males obsession with anal play actually got a little over the top by the end.

The ending seems to setup a sequel but it apparently hasn't been written yet.

The book seemed unfinished. It felt as though only 1/3 of the book was completed. We only finished 1/2 the training for Clara. The second half was missing. Going to a new home was missing too. The scenes were more D/S which is a nice change. This book is not for everyone.

Not bad. However would have liked a bit more story for when she was in her Papa's place. The story just abruptly ends at that point. The CP was fine - nothing extreme and some of it off camera and all that.

I adored this book! I loved the spankings, by hand and by implement, and anal play. The author's attention to detail was a joy. I enjoyed the trustee who was among the main characters request for a redhead; the attention to Clara's hair set the scene beautifully. The domination and care of Nurse Ingrid was the perfect counterpoint to Clara's innocence. I even enjoyed the matron and the doctor. I did struggle, as usual for me, with my enjoyment of the non-consensual nature of the training, although Ms. Liddel handled much of this issue in such a way that the struggle wasn't overly distracting for me. The Victorian setting was well done, especially the slang words and the way they wove into the story. The end scene left me craving more.

I loved this book. I liked Nurse Ingrid and could easily put myself in Clara's place, which was both terrifying and arousing. I would like to read about Clara's remaining time in training, as well as her time with her new Papa; this book, while it did end at a natural stopping point, only left me wanting more.

I am giving this story two stars because I felt like it had no ending. I was left hanging. Although I can understand if there is another story coming I would still like to know before I buy it. This story is very strict and I really wanted to know what would happen between Bardwick and Clara. If it wasn't for the problem mentioned above I would have given it 4 stars

This is a great Victorian Ageplay story where a young girl is kidnapped and brought to the Island to be trained to obey and please her new master. There are plenty of spankings and other humilations in this srory to satisfy just about everyone. Hope there is more to come from this story because it is left on a cliff hanger so to speak.

Abduction/non-con Victorian age-play with D/s. I really enjoyed this book until the end, which was very abrupt. It's almost as if the author just stopped writing. A shame really, because this is a unique and interesting read. I hope Ms. Liddell finishes this book/series. It would definitely be one I would read.
