Panther shifter Garret Dendras makes bad decisions. No -- he’s made some f*cking horrible choices, and now he’s got no friends or family left. He’s a total pariah in his town with enough regrets to last him a lifetime, but his biggest regret of all is letting Ally go.
Allison MacDonald gave up on her first love long ago. Garret chose a life of crime over her, and it hurt, but it’s been years. She’s over it, and she should be: now she’s a doctor with a new job, ready to start the life she always dreamed about.
That is, until he shows up at her Nana’s, panicking about his own grandmother’s health. His concern makes her have some second thoughts… maybe that sweet boy she remembered is still in there, after all.
When Garret’s Grandma, Nana’s best friend, takes a turn for the worse, Garret learns about his family’s secrets and Ally learns there’s more in the swamp than meets the eye. Can the two former sweethearts work together to solve the riddle, navigate the wilderness, and find the Fountain of Youth?
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review
The cover is beautiful and fits well with the series!
This is the 4th book in the series, and it is still for adults only due to the content.
This is Garrett’s story. He was part of what used to be Silvanus’ pack. Due to things that happened in book 3, he is a bit lost and floundered. Ally is a nurse, and she has old wounds she is still nursing. This is more of an emotional journey that the battles that have been part of the first 3 books. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like Garrett. I only wish there was more because I didn’t want it to end.
I definitely like Sennah Tate’s writing style and can’t wait to read more of her work!
I highly recommend this series and yes I think they should be read in order to all shifter lovers!
The series continues in this book. Garrett and Allison's story. Sweet read but it went by too fast. I wanted more. I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smolder brings an emotionally complex story about regret, redemption, and second chances. Garret’s flawed, often reckless nature contrasts well with Ally’s resilience and career-driven focus, creating tension and chemistry. The story delves into family secrets, loyalty, and healing past wounds. The swamp setting remains vivid, enhancing the story’s mysterious and magical atmosphere. The quest to find the Fountain of Youth adds an adventurous touch to this emotional romance, making it a heartfelt and engaging conclusion (so far) to the main quartet.
"Smolder" is the 4th book in the series Sunset Glade Panthers. It is hard most times to read or give a review of a book in series and you haven't read the ones before it. I guess you could consider 'Smolder" a standalone because I read it and understood exactly what was going on. I liked the book. I thought Sennah Tate did a good job in developing her characters and the location of the book. I followed the book with great ease and never once got lost, nor did I confused about any aspect of the book. Sign of a very good Author.

His choices led him down a dark path He ran with the wrong crowd because he thought he was suppose to hang with his own kind. His biggest regret was letting the love of his life go. His other regret is that his choices in his life has made it hard for him to get a job so that he could help take care of his grandmother.
Allison McDonald also lives with her grand mother and helps to take care of her. She is a doctor and travels to the homes of the people who cannot make it into Ally let Garret go with a broken heart because Garret chose a life of crime over her, and it hurt, but that was years ago. She can now start the life she had dreamed of. That is, until he shows up at her Nana’s, panicking about his own grandmother’s health. His concern makes her have some second thoughts… maybe that sweet boy she remembered is still in there, after all.

Is the second time the charm?
You must read it to find out what happens because I am not going to give away any secrets.
Garret never understood what hippos had to do with medicine. BWAHAAHAAHAA That is THE MOST HILARIOUS line! Well, that I could share without giving anything away, that is. As soon as I read it in the blurb at the beginning I was HOWLING with laughter! This is one FANGTASTIC story!! A PUUURRRFECT addition to one FURRIFIC series!! I love how sentimental this story is. There are quite a few little things here & there that make your heart swell, your eyes leak & have you grinning like a fool. And you will also find yourself sniffling & saying "aawwww" a lot too. Of course, you will also be laughing, crying, tapping your toes impatiently, biting your finger nails, and oh so much more!!! Even though Garret & Ally's story is a happily-for-now kind of ending, there are more questions I still NEED answers for! I have a feeling that Sennah is setting us up for one humdinger of a magical storyline that will span multiple books! I am wishing & hoping that it will take many, many books before we solve all of the mysteries, uncover all of the secrets and of course, many, many, MANY books before all of the Sunset Glade panthers - and other such magical people & creatures - find & claim their mates! I ABSO-FURRY-LUTELY LOVE THIS PANTHERTASTIC series by Sennah! With her FURNOMENAL talent I am instantly drawn into the story & connecting with the characters so that I am living their story with them. Sennah has me wholly, utterly & completely addicted to her SHIFTACULAR stories so much so I cannot get enough of them, even after reading them multiple times!
SMOLDER-Sunset Glade Panthers Book 4-A captivating romantic story.
This story focuses on; Ally, a curvaceous, intelligent, audacious beautiful human. Garret, a sultry, stop your heart gorgeous, strapping, panther-shifter.
What you'll find in this story; A cast of amazing impressive and engaging characters, spectacular story-line, powerful vivid scene descriptions, heart-wrenching moments, gripping suspense, pent-up rage, phenomenal banter, emotions spiral, skyrocketing heart-throbbing sensual romance, and a melt your heart ending leaving you wanting more.
Garret broke Ally's heart years ago when he got in with the wrong crowd. She has not yet forgiven him, but now he needs her to help his grandmother who has taken ill. The two of them set out on a mission to find the fountain of youth as this water will help her. Ally does not know Garret's secret, but if he has any chance of making amends, he will have to tell her what he is.
INCREDIBLE fast paced well written read by a truly gifted author. I loved this touching story. The characters spring to life with the plot and dynamic scene descriptions. The chemistry between Garret and Ally is convincing and their romance sizzles. The fusion of authenticity and fantasy make this story most impressive. Garret's devotion towards his grandmother shows Ally that he is a changed person. If you treasure shifter romance this is definitely a terrific book for your library. {I received a copy of this book for a completely honest review}. In the world of shifter romance the possibilities are endless and are always fascinating. Without reservations I recommend this book.
We're back in Sunset Glade and with bad boy Garrett Deandras trying to change his life. Growing up not knowing anything about his panther since his parents were killed he got into a bad crowd. Once he found other shifters (the bad crowd) he dumped his girlfriend, Allison Macdonald. Things went downhill, Allison left to go to med school and Garrett continued his life of crime. He's trying really hard now to make amends for all the trouble he caused and care for his elderly grandmother. Things are tough but he keeps trying. Allison is back and helping elderly patients that require home care. She remembers the good between the two of them, but she also remembers the hurt vividly. When Garrett's grandmother has a medical crisis and the two have to complete a quest, complete with riddled instructions, to save her they agree to set aside differences to get the job done. I felt bad for Garrett as he tries to maintain his distance from Allison for her own good. Will she be able to forgive him and rekindle what they once had. They are able to overcome the obstacles to complete their quest, but something is wrong in the swamp and it's up to Garrett's grandmother to figure it out. I want more of this story and the trouble in the swamp. Garrett and Allison are well defined characters and keep you interested. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ally and Garret were childhood friends, sweethearts and then... nothing. Garret went one way, Ally went another. Now Garret is back with his grandmother, trying to make amends for his past, although no one is prepared to forgive and forget, even though they don't know what happened. They see what's laid out for them and look no further. Garret knows and accepts this, but he is worried about his grandma and paying for her medicine. Upon finding his grandma ill, he is given a short quest to find her 'cure' and Ally comes along. During their time together, they clear the air and have a passionate night in the woods/swamp.
This is a short chapter in the Sunset Glad Panthers series, and it would have been better if it was a bit longer. More backstory between Ally and Garret, as well as his grandma and what is happening in the swamp, would have been good, but I am hoping that it will lead into an overall story arc so we get a bit more with each book, and the whole kit and caboodle when the series is complete.
For a quick coffee break book with one scene of hotness in it, then I can recommend this.
* I received this book from The Hunt Club in return for a fair and honest review. *
Ally and Garrett were sweethearts and then they just seemed to have parted. Garrett was heading down a dark path and didn't want to drag Ally with him...just a shame he didn't tell Ally that.
Now Garret has returned home and is looking after his gran but the town he left behind is not quite ready to forgive and forget. Garret understands their animosity but he knows his gran is ill and her medicine is eating up a huge part of his pay...when he's not being diddled by cranky pensioners!!!
When his gran takes a bad turn he runs to their neighbours and finds that Ally has returned to her grans. There is magic required to save his gran and he is given a quest to obtain a magic liquid. Ally comes along and ends up being of help. They do manage to come to terms with their past at last accept that their passion is very real and very hot!!!!
Short episode in the Sunset Glade Panthers series. There wasn't much back story to Ally and Garrett so I'm still not actually sure why they broke up in the first place - hence the 4* rather than 5* review. I'm hoping that the next book in the series will be a bit more substantial and explain a bit more of Ally and Garrett!!!
I received this book from The Hunt Club in return for a fair and honest review.
we all know what happened in the previous books and well sometimes i belief a bad boy should be able to redeem himself. he's trying his best but nobody wants to give him a job and when he gets one they belief that he should work of his debt and most refuse to pay him, leaving him as good as broke most of the time. the only constant in his life is his gran and the biggest regret is letting ally go. knowing she's back in town isn't really helping his feelings but when he finds his gran near consciousness, he sees no other way as to go over to the neighbors, where ally lives with her grandmother, and beg her to come with him to check up on his gran. when it happens again a few days later, it's ally's grandmother that suspects more is going on and sends the pair on some kind of treasure hunt. the panther in him still wants ally and isn't so sure they should go together but her gran insists she'll take care of of the other woman as they search for some hidden waterpool. it's a journey full of revelations and confessions. i loved this little glimpse in the life of another panther. he didn't have an easy time and i sure hope that there once will come a time when luck is on his side!
One quest has the ability to bring love back into two people's hearts, but will they follow the clues? This was a great quick read, with just the right amount of romance and adventure. Garret is trying his hardest to take care of his aging grandmother, but with no money, and no job on the horizon it is proving to be very difficult. Because of past misdeeds, Garett is finding life to be unbearable. Will no one forgive his youthful bad choices?Ally is back in her hometown after years away, she had left when her relationship with Garret blew up, and he broke her heart. She is now a PA at a local clinic and makes home visits to the elderly in the area. In order to save Garret's grandmother, he and Ally must go on a quest to find a magical spring. Many secrets are revealed on the quest, will they bring Ally and Garret together or throw them further apart? I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The book is a quick read with a story that unfolds rapidly.
Garrett and Allison developed feelings for each other as teens but he pushed her away. He became involved with some bad people and it took a very serious situation to shake him from that path. He is trying to make good and take care of his grandmother but the community is not very forgiving.
Ally is back and she is a PA. When Garrett's grandmother has a health issue, she jumps in to help. It gives her time to observe and see that Garrett is changing. They have to go on a quest together to save his grandmother and she learns all about magic.
There is a sweetness to their past and it is bittersweet for Ally to be back. Garrett has a lot of regrets and doesn't blame her for not wanting to give him another chance. His grandmother's illness is a tie that binds them together and gives them time to heal old wounds.
Garret was a panther shifter. He had done some bad things in his life and the woman he loved and the town just could not forgive him. The things he had done were no fault of his own. He had been controlled by a witch. Now people were hurt and mistrust because of it.
Ally could not believe when she saw Garret come to her for help. Something was terrible wrong with his grandmother. He was worried of losing her and did not know what to do.
Garret and Ally must go a quest to to save Garret’s grandmother. This quest will either bring them closer or tear them apart. Ally will find out what Garret truly is and that magic is real. Can Ally hand all that she is getting ready to learn? Will Ally give Garret another chance? Will Garret be able to control his panther around Ally? and Will they be able to save Garret’s grandmother in time?
Learning from your mistakes Leaving mistakes in the past can be hard for some, mostly the ones who were hurt by those mistakes. Garret is one such man that has a lot of regret from his past. Trying to find work and support his Grandmother is hard when no one will look past the old him and his mistakes. But the one that cuts him the most is Ally, the love of his life and mate even if she doesn’t know it. Ally being a nurse and living her Gran living next to his Gran plus Ally being a nurse has Garret seeking her help for his Grandmother. High emotions run deep in this self-contained well written and very entertaining story.
This review is from: Smolder (Sunset Glade Panthers Book 4) (Kindle Edition) I received a copy free from Amelie Hunt Presents in exchange for honest review. This's the latest installment in the Sunset Glade Panthers Series by Sennah Tate continues with Garret and Ally's story wich is charming and romantic and their struggle to get back to each other. Senna did a great job, it's a very well written novel. This plot got me laughing, crying, biting some of my finger nails but it was awesome, and oh so much more! I really look forward to more Sunset Glade Stories. I really enjoyed the story and without reservations I recommend this book. Senna did a great job, it's a ver well written novel.
An awesome read! Everyone has some time in their past that they regret and wish that they could change. Garrett has a past like that. He is ashamed and the towns people won't let it go. Allison "Ally" was the love of his life and he lost her thanks to his bad decisions in the past. All of a sudden his Nana takes sick. Ally is a doctor and rushes to help. Will he get a second chance? What's causing his Nana's illness? The emotions in this book pull you in and make you feel like you are part of the story. Very well written.

Allie is a nurse that had been friends with Garrett. It wasn't until she moved back that she learned things about Garrett.
Garrett had been a cat shifter. He was along in the world except for his Grandma. He tried to be goos but when he got caught up in the wrong crowd to just try and fit in things got bad. But he loved his grandma so when so took ill that is when scerects or at least some of the secrets were revealed.
Garrett had to venture on a journey to save is grandma but Allie wanted to go along. She had queations that needed answering from what she learned before leaving on this journey. Would she ger the answers she was looking for. Would they save Garrett 's grandma.
This is the fourth book in the Sunset Glade Series. This book does not disappoint. Garrett is a panther shifter who has earned a bad reputation. No one likes or will give him a job. Ally has returned to Sunset Glade to work at the clinic. She and Garrett have a history that has been damaged. When Garrett's grandmother falls ill he runs to Ally for help. Is the spark still alive between them? It seems his grandmother has been keeping secrets, about being a druid. They set out on a quest to find a spring in the swamp. Will the water make her better? Will these two get another chance? I enjoyed this story and give 5 stars. I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sunset Glade Panthers Book 4, Smolder is terrific. Garrett is one hour panther shifter. He loves his grandmother what more could you ask for in a man? The fact that he's hot, sexy, built and lovable is just icing on top. Ali has worked hard on her education. She returns to her grandmother's hometown for her first real job as a PA. What she finds is so much more. Sennah Tate has done a wonderful job telling Garrett and Ali's story. It's like a fairytale with a sexy twist. I can't wait to read what has happened to the fountain. I received an ARC for my honest review.
I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the part where Garrett shifted to his panther the first time in front of Ally and climbed the tree It is a great storyline, but I could not give it a five, because there were so many unanswered questions, and the ending came way too quick. I feel like this storyline needed to be developed and expanded more. It has so much potential. Now, if Sennah Rate comes out with a book to tie up all the loose ends, I will consider the possibility of increasing my score to a five. I received this book free in return for an honest review.
Smolder was a quick, sweet read. The story line moves along very quickly, almost too quickly. I think a little more could have gone into this story but overall I enjoyed this book. It's the story of two old lovers who run into each other again and find that their passion still burns brightly. Will they find everlasting happiness this time? Read to find out. This is the first story I've read by Sennah Tate and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author in the future. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book ,it is about second chances, and maybe turning your life around ! Garret Dendras has made some very bad decisions over the years, his life of crime and letting Dr. Alison MacDonald get away ! Now Garret's grandmother is very sick, and he and Ally must work together to find a magical spring . What happens? This is funny and keeps you wanting more to find out what will happen next, I want the next one. I was given a copy for an honest review barwatts@telus.net
I like the book well enough. I just wish we got more backstory on Garret and Allison they were childhood friends turn first love but due to a misunderstanding and pride the relationship became strain but if they would've just took the time to talk to one another it all could've been resolved just seem like a big waste of time. The end of the book felt like it ended on a cliffhanger so I guess we'll have to wait and see what's going to happen next. Overall it was just OK
Garret is a panther shifter who was in trouble a lot as a teen, his mate is Ally but as a teen he messed things up with her and things ended. Now his grandma is sick and Ally is the only one he can think to ask for help. This is so sweet it has a little drama then romance. I love this series of paranormal beings in the everglades and the characters are wonderful. It's a great read. Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
Garret the panther may be down on his luck due to some pretty bad choices. But as with any man (or should I say panther) there is always a woman that will bring him out of his slump. Garret had always known Allison was that woman. Little did she know it herself. In a strange turn in events they are brought together in this short story set among the paranormal creatures of the Everglades.
I love this story! Ally is a young woman whose heart was broken by her first love. Garret is a panther shifter who never wanted to hurt her. They still love each other. Everything they go through to work it out makes a terrific story. Extremely well written and passionate. I definitely recommend reading this book.
I would love to see this book and the others made into full length books. They are such good stories I think they would be great.
He is a shifter with a bad boy past tryouts my to change his ways. She is the one he left and hurt. Can she forgive him and help him save his grandmother?
