Four Stars!

Every now and again (pretty much this week) you find some hidden gems with free books from Bookbub, luckily I've read two amazing books from it while I've been on holiday.

I'm honestly pleasantly surprised as I mentioned in a previous update. I think the story handles the issue of Mental Health quite well, especially in aspects that were difficult to read about particularly how her mother dealt with it.

The only issues I had with this was we didn't really get closure with what happened with her family or Jenna...

I loved Jules as a character, I think everyone would want her as a best friend.

Overall I liked this much more than I thought!

*Due to be released April 8th*

This was a great debut novel by Clare James.

The story isn't necessarily unique but it's still good all the same. Tabitha has survived an awful ordeal in her old life and is doing all she can to overcome it. She's moved school, moved town and left everything and everybody who ruined her behind.

The story starts off with Tab about to start college, but before that she has the bright idea that a one night stand is just what she needs to help move on and heal from her past. But is it really? Noah is the lucky one who she chooses for the one night stand, but there's something different about him.. she's finally 'feeling' whilst she's with him, she isn't just numb and the feeling is so foreign that she clams up and can't go through with it. Moving on and trying to forget about him is just what she plans to do..

But fate has other ideas and on her first day at college there he is. Typical, right? I guessed this twist was coming but I loved it all the same when we got there. Noah was wonderful.. he is hiding his own secrets but that doesn't stop him going after what he wants and what he wants is Tab. Issues and all. I love how their relationship wasn't 'insta-love' that we see so often these days, it started off slow and really didn't progress to more until right near the end. "I'm not damanged with him. I'm not broken." Their relationship was sweet, passionate and loving. Noah didn't enable to Tab to wallow in her self pity, he nudges and pushes her, all in a good way, to face her past and move on from it.
"I feel... beautiful and adored for maybe the first time in my life."

This book really made me feel. I felt for Tab on so many occasions, and even Noah once his past was revealed. The author did a great job of pulling out my emotions. The only criticism I have is the lack of epilogue. I really would have just liked a few more pages to see how they were getting on in the future, but the book was really good all the same.

Before You Go by Clare James had me hooked from the moment I opened the book. I started it before going to bed one night thinking I would read a chapter or two, next thing I know it is 4 am and I finished the book! I just couldn’t put it down. I was captivated by the characters, the story, and not to forget Noah, he is totally swoon-worthy! Book boyfriend material for sure!

In Before You Go you will meet college student Tabitha Kelly. Tabby has it all, looks, money, popularity but after a night of partying and being drugged a sex scandal soon follows. She becomes the laughing stock on campus, no one believing her side of the story and she ends up losing her boyfriend (what a jerk), her friends, and her dancing career, even her mother who is more worried about her public image then her daughter’s well being. After months of trying to overcome the assault, even getting help in an inpatient facility Tabby decides to start over in a different state. Tabby only wants to focus on school but her plans change when she meets Noah one night in a bar thinking he would only be a one night stand turns out he will become a lot more.

The first chapter will wrap you in and not let you out! I loved the opening scene of Tabby trying to overcome her past thinking a one night stand would help feel powerful. You will get a great insight on who she is while Tabby is sitting at the bar looking for the lucky guy who will become her one nighter. When she meets Noah they connect right away, their interactions are so funny and cute! Tabby is a great character; I appreciated being able to see her growth over the course of the book. I LOVED Noah; he is just a good guy. I love good guys. He wasn’t tatted up, or an underground street fighter, he was simply amazing, understanding, handsome, and perfect. Though he had a secret of his own he was over coming it and became a better person for it.

Ms. James is a very talented writer. I felt the book had it all, humor, romance, some sexy scenes, and a very emotional. It’s hard to come by a book that has it all with a great storyline as well. The only thing I wish was the ending was a little more wrapped up when it came to Noah and his past. I felt like the Jenna (a character from his past) and Noah could have had some more closure. The way Jenna treated Tabby at the end of the book I was expecting a resolution to come, but there was not one. I still feel like Noah is in a big conflict between Tabby and Jenna and I would like to know what will happen between them next.

Before You Go is an amazing read I highly suggest to all my book lover friends out there. It has a wonderful story, deep emotions, great characters, and Noah of course! Can’t forget about him!

I give Before You Go 4 stars.

Before You Go started off exciting. I have no clue why, but I was thinking of Mark Sloan and Lexie Grey from Grey's Anatomy as Noah and Tabitha even though Mark is wayyy too old to be a college student. Clare James made Before You Go embody something true to life. It was just the chemistry, and suave laid back flirting in the really great first and second chapters which made me feel like I was watching a television show and not merely reading manufactured words on a page. I liked that, I loved that. I sensed the interest and was really hopeful because I could imagine the script coming to life.

But that's all it was. The whole way through the novel at 25%, 40%, 80%, it always felt like their relationship was just beginning. Like they had just met and the sparks were there but it didn't raise off the ground. When Tabitha and Noah were close to being intimate in the first chapter, well...that felt more heady than when they were intimate at about the 30th chapter because the spark fizzled out and it felt monotonous like I was reading the same thing again. I couldn't feel the development.

Noah really disappointed me. He was suave and laid back and had chemistry with Tabitha, yes in the first chapter. Then he just became that guy. The newspaper student journalist filled with some unresolved obligation to another girl and a mix of religious beliefs and he wasn't special. He didn't have that trademark quality I look for in the hero of the novel. But I was waiting for the electricity, the pain, protectiveness, his obsession and passion for her beyond control and needing her. All he cares about was the newspaper. He was always tamed, safe, and in control and I hated that. He's not the "I would do anything for her" kind of guy. He's the nice guy with the steady salary and job and flirty but never all-consuming. He could have become that but he didn't.

Yes, they've both had some shitty life experiences over the past year. I was more emotionally involved with her past story and depression but there was a disconnect between Tabitha and Noah even when they shared their stories.?I was actually hoping she'd hook up with her step brother and drop Noah even though their relationship was platonic. It didn't happen.

And when Noah and Tabitha declared their love for each other after a while, I understood it, but I couldn't feel like development.

It was just okay. It never picked up and it had potential to but we don't get to know enough about Noah, and the plot line as a whole disappointed me despite the well-written story.

*I kindly received and ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review*

This book was actually nice and I really liked it. I wouldn't say that it had more defining qualities which made it a better story but for some reason I liked it more than other contemporary romance I've read. Tabby was a sweet person who just made a wrong mistake and compared to The First I read before this (In which our heroine also made many horrible mistakes) this was forgivable. As I got an uncorrected version there were many mistakes and it kinda annoyed me but other than that this pretty good. I'm pretty much psyched to read the second book. Jules was my favourite sidekick in a long time. I would also like to read the story about Michael, if there is one that is. He is such a sweetheart :)

I bought this in amazon because the cover looks really sweet. ☺

Glad I did, coz I ended up finishing it around 2am lastnight. It was impossible for me to put it down!

I love Tabitha, but specially Noah. He is a boyfriend material.

In this story- it made me feel something, something that is lacking with the books I've been reading lately.

I think the author did a very good job with the story that it pulled out different emotions to me.

I adore the cover. I love the story. But the ending was "meh". I wish the epilogue has more pages... I felt it was too quick and wishing it had more.. But other than that- I enjoyed Tabitha and Noah's story.

I highly recommend this book.

Being probably one of the last ones to hear about the New Adult genre, I say this book was just okay. The low rating isn't because the book was bad but rather it felt like it wasn't yet completed.

The story is told from first person by our heroine who had to deal with some devastating experience. We come into the story after the initial crisis following this experience, but before the full recovery. This gives us time to both discover in bits what exactly happened to her, and to see step by step how and with who she gets over things. Even though I can't say I'm a big fan of first person narration, I have to admit this helps get into a character's head, especially in a plot such as this where psychology is the big chunk of the story.

The subject matter of this book is not an easy one to write, I give that much to the author. You gotta tread carefully, giving the necessary care to the character's condition. I think in this case the author did right by the heroine but unfortunately failed to cue us in. Even though for the whole of the book I was inside the heroine's head, I was unable to make a connection to her and I think that's where the book fails. As the most important person in this story, Tabitha makes not much of an impression on me, even though I try hard to sympathize with her concerning her past. And not only Tabitha herself, but also the rest of the characters feel as if they might or might not have existed and it wouldn't matter for me. Her father, who help pick up the pieces together right after her incident is hardly there to make me feel for him. The new best friend Tabitha makes is also supposed to be a big help for her in getting over things but again, her existence is like a shadow. And Noah, the hero of the story, the one who's the biggest support, the biggest step in her recovery, fails to be that big. It felt like everyone had the right amount of potential, and they came so close to make the story reach its climax, and yet, there seems to be no climax in the end.

Another problem I had with this book was the unanswered questions. Sure, we do get why she's the way she is, what happened to her and how it affected not just her but everyone around as well, especially her family. But we never get any more detail than the overalls. I felt as if I was an outsider, and it frustrated me not to get any more information concerning the heroine herself and her relationships with those around her, or the hero, who seemed like his story was a bit more than we're told.

It was things like these, the little details that were neglected yet if told, they would've made a difference, and the fact that I couldn't connect with any of the characters, that made me rate this book this low. The story had potential, it's a real life problem that I'd be happy to read the heroine get over and move on with her life, but somehow it ended up being short of that potential. I would've preferred to read a hundred more pages if it meant I'd get the full of the story and a chance to click with the characters.

Here is a tale about secrets, lack of support, hope, second chances and love.

Tabitha has a past of hurt but she is finally able to start fresh in a new town and with the love and support of her dad and step mom.

With new starts comes with no friends and not a lot of support but it also comes with people not knowing about your past.

In this new journey Tabby tries to battle her own demons but picking up a one night stand. Enter Noah who has his own demons and baggage but is drawn to Tabby.

"That's well and good, Tabby." Noah's quiet, thoughtful. "But sometimes you need someone or something. Don't miss out on that because you're too busy focusing on where you're going. Sometimes all we have is right here, right now."

Noah and Tabby have a rocky start but fate is being sneaky and they have so many outside connections that they are forced to get closer. With this walls start to come down on both sides and love and trust start to build.

"I'm in love with you. I have been for months now. I was just waiting for you to catch up. I would do anything for you, Tab."

With Noah and his past baggage also comes with Jules and Foster which are the light in the darkness for Tabby because with this she also gets Jules the friend she needs and deserves. With this past also comes Jenna the she-bitch.

The past always has a way of catching up when we try to run from it but what we don't realize that when we have true friends and true love it doesn't matter because they love us for who we are and not what we did or for what has happened to us.

Clare James has done a marvelous job with her debut novel. Her writing style is smooth and straightforward. Her story, though not a new subject matter, proves its own uniqueness. A well-designed plot and a superb group of characters, both lead and secondary, add that extra dose of quality making this a thoroughly enjoyable read.

Noah and Tabitha are both damaged characters. One has been through a traumatic event that has marked her life severely. The other holds himself accountable for an accident that caused a death. Although there’s instantaneous chemistry between these two, readers will be delighted with the slow-build into their tender and emotional romantic relationship.

Even though Noah and Tabitha find their happily-ever-after and there’s no dramatic cliffhanger, readers are left with a few loose ends and several unanswered questions. Perhaps the author is already hard at work writing the sequel that solves those dilemmas. I certainly hope so.

“Before You Go” exceeded my initial expectations. I certainly never expected so many delightful surprises within the pages of this special gem. I highly recommend this one.

★★★★1/2 STILL I RISE STARS!!!!!!

WOW I was not expecting this book to absolutely take my breath away! First and foremost please please please don't read the synopsis of this book and think it's nothing new, it's been done before, same old. YES it may seem like that BUT Before You Go is soooooo much more than just the reoccurring theme of popular-girl-sex-scandal-sob-story. Clare James has taken an at times overly done story line and made it into something absolutely beautiful in my opinion.

At the beginning of Before You Go we are introduced to college student Tabitha Kelly, and get a glimpse of the night that changed her life and forced her to leave her home in Chicago, college, dance career, friends...essentially everything she was, and start over broken, emotionally beaten and depressed in Minnesota. In a new state and a clean slate Tabby is determined to make a fresh start and has her own ideas about how she can move on from what happened to her and take control of her life, but for the past few months that she's been trying her get back to a normal plan she hasn't been able to go through with it

"I've been coming here for the last few months, but anytime I come close to picking up a guy, I chicken out. The whole point of this little exercise is to be the person in control. To be the person to say where, when, and most importantly, who."

That is until she meets Noah Adler at Rye's, a local bar and her favorite place the last few month of summer break. They hit it off between games of bingo, talking literature dancing and of course drinks and finally she's able to take it that one step further than she has all summer. What she didn't know though and couldn't prepare for was that Noah wasn't only going to be a one night stand, but that he would be the one who would become exactly what, and who she's been looking for, and that through his persistence and unconventional ways of helping her move forward she would gain the strength and find herself in the nothingness that has been her life for so many months.

[image error] photo walls_zpsca753fb1.jpg"/>

Noah was simply a wonderful hero. He is a promising journalist and teachers assistant at the college and an all around good and decent guy. Throughout the book he knows that Tabby is keeping a secret but he doesn't push her to open up to him, instead he finds a rather unique and new way to break through Tabby's trust and intimacy issues without moving faster than she was comfortable with.

"Have you ever heard of sensate focus?"
"No," I draw out the word. Nerves flutter away in my belly.
"It's a technique used in sexual therapy...Don't worry...It's not as scary as it sounds. It's a way to help with intimacy and control."

As Noah a Tabby spend time together during classes, the college paper and the phases of their sensate exercises he begins to see and falls in love with the person that Tabby is trying to keep hidden and invisible to the people and world around her. She lets him in slowly and he gets glimpses of the girl she was in Chicago. He helps her to find and rebuild that person into a better stronger version of Tabitha Kelly, and that's what made me love him so much. He didn't give up when she pushed away instead gave her just enough space but always kept one foot in the door some way or another. But even though Noah is pretty perfect in a lot of ways he also has a past and that past is also in his present and comes in the form of a conceited bitch by the name of Jenna Peterson...

This book also featured an amazing supporting cast of characters and for me that is what made it stand out from the other books with a similar story line. Tabby had so many truly amazing people in her life, but the relationship she shared with her stepmother Amy was so beautifully written and was just refreshing to see. I loved the amount of respect Tabby had toward Amy and in turn the amount of love that Amy had for Tabby and everything she did to help her in gaining back control of her life.

And I can't forget Jules!!! Jules is awesome and so kick ass I LOVED her. Some of the things that came out of her mouth blew me away and made me laugh so hard but her sincerity was remarkable and she was just the friend that Tabby needed and showed her that nobody is perfect no matter what their outer shell may look like.

Seriously an amazing book it's filled with so much emotion it will have you hooked from the very first page. I really, really, want to give it 5 stars because I truly loved it that much, I think that all the ways Ms. James portrayed in this book and found to deal with the issues and help Tabby move forward were brilliant and totally unique. I loved all the characters and the relationship Noah and Tabby shared, and I also really liked the ending and though that it was the perfect finish for a character like Tabby, but the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because I feel like I need some more closure with Noah's past and Jenna. I think that even though her role as a character was kinda subtle she played a big enough part and in the end that is where the plot that remains somewhat unfinished to me. A book two perhaps??...I would seriously love that!

Anyhow guys my overall thoughts, this is a magnificently written debut novel by Clare James, I can't name enough adjectives to describe it it's amazing, beautiful, emotional, funny, with a damaged but strong heroine and amazing gentle and wonderful hero, you cannot go wrong and I definitely would recommend everyone add Before You Go to your TBR lists. The best part it's been released a week early, an available to purchase NOW!!!!!!

Before You Go Collage

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I have to say I definitely enjoyed this book.

I really liked Tabby. She is broken but doesn't come across as helpless, shy or too vulnerable. She is trying to recover from her past and I could see that she was strong and was trying to not let her past define her.

Because of what happened to her she feels she needs to have control of her life and be the one making decisions. So she decides to have a one night stand, where she is in control of the situation. She meets Noah at a bar and takes him home but at the last-minute she can't go through with it. They part ways and she thinks she will never see him again.

Well, fate is a funny thing and come to find out she will be crossing paths with Noah on more than one occasion. Noah's feelings for Tabby are clear however Tabby is still struggling with her past and isn't ready for something serious. But the more time she spends with Noah the more she can't help feeling the same for him and they decide to give it a go.

The book is told from Tabby's POV. We get to experience her interactions with friends, family and even her therapist. She is constantly trying to keep control of her situations and life but with Noah she learns that she will have to give up control and that may not be such a bad thing.

I love how sweet Noah is with a tiny mix of Alpha male in there. He knows that Tabby want's controls so he comes up with ways to help her relinquish the control to him.

"I mean, as hot as it is to have you go all dominatrix on my ass, you need to share that control with me. Do you think you can do that?"

I loved those scenes and have to say that Noah definitely won me over. He helps Tabby overcome her past and stop being the victim. She becomes stronger because of him and can face her demons. Noah even shares with Tabby some of his not so wonderful past. Unfortunately, when Noah finds out about what happened in Tabby's past, Tabby has a hard time dealing with that and is afraid that everyone will know what happened.

But don't worry you do get your HEA at the end. The only thing that I would have liked is if the ending was a bit longer or their was an epilogue. I would have liked to see more on how the characters relationship progressed.

Overall I enjoyed the book. I read the book in one sitting and found that the authors writing style really flowed well. Definitely would recommend the book and will be reading more from the author. As her debut New Adult Novel I think she did a wonderful job.

Before You Go was heart wrenching, intense and full of passion. I loved every bit of it. Clare James did an amazing job. This story was beautifully written, I hope to read more by this author as her work is magnificent.

Tabby has suffered from a tragic sexual assault in her home town. Now she is living in a new place, starting a new school and hoping to start over. However, no matter how much she tries to forget her past it seems to have a way of catching up to her. Now with her new friends and new HOT boyfriend, she can finally start over with out having to worry with what happened before or so she thought. Tabby soon finds out that not everyone lives a perfect life, everyone has a past and there are more broken out there than what meets the eye. With Noah and Jules by her side, Tabby is ready to face her fears.

Gosh, I must be losing my mind because I can't believe this book had an under 4 rating. I really, really liked it. Loved the characters of Tabby and Noah and the changing and healing they both went through, especially Noah helping Tabby through her dreadful past. Maybe what other readers didn't like was that it isn't very long, it only took me a few hours to finish it, but I found it very romantic, well written and a cast of great supporting characters. I would recommend it to anyone.

Once I started this book I really couldn’t put it down. Tabby has had a rough go of it in college. She changes schools and is trying to put it behind her and thinks a one night stand is the best, which she couldn’t do anyway. Her and Noah become friends and he pushes her for more which she doesn’t want. Typical romance story. I really liked Tabby character, she was strong and was determined to be ok and not let what happened to her define her. Noah was a sweet and character. Although at the end I wasn’t completely fulfilled. Like there was something missing.

I was provided an ARC by the author for an honest review.

"Before You Go" is Clare James' debut novel. I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Tabitha "Tabby" thought she had it all. She was a popular dancer, had tons of friends and what she thought was the perfect boyfriend, until one night at a college party everything changed. Tabby became the subject of a public sex scandal at her college in Illinois. The sex scandal has left Tabby broken. Her father and her step mother feel is it best for Tabby to start over, to have a new beginning in a new city. Tabby has convinced herself that by having a one night stand, she will be able to take back control of her life.

Tabby heads out to the bar and sets her sights on an attractive guy at the end of the bar. After a few drinks, Tabby has the courage to approach the guy and they end up hanging out the rest of the night without even exchanging names. Tabby felt by exchanging names, she would personalize the one night stand. Tabby only wanted one thing, sex, and sex that she was in control of.

Once back at Tabby's apartment, she realizes that she can not go through with it and asks for him to leave.

"Oh, and by the way" he whispers

"The name is Noah. You know, in case you're thinking about me later. Good to have a name with a face. Don't you think?"

After a night out with her father and step mother, Tabby runs into Noah again. A few days later, Tabby runs into Noah again at the University. It appears Noah and Tabby have a class together and she will also be working under Noah at the university newspaper.

Noah is attracted to Tabby, that much is clear. Noah wants to know more about Tabby, however Tabby is not looking for a romantic relationship, but she agrees on a friendship. Noah is persistent and overtime, Tabby can not deny her feelings for Noah. Noah knows that Tabby is keeping something from him but he never pushes her. Noah was perfect in Tabby's eyes, but she soon discovers that Noah has a past of his own. Can two people who both have a past, help each other heal?

I enjoyed watching Tabby and Noah's relationship grow. Noah, oh Noah… Noah is a complete sweetheart. The gentle way he helps Tabby overcome her intimacy issues. Noah is amazingly patient with Tabby and he helps her find and rebuild herself. Noah is such a likable character. Tabby and Noah had a great connection.

Tabby had AMAZING people in her life, who were very supportive. I enjoyed getting to know the sub-characters as well. The author makes you have an immediate connection with them. Jules is Tabby's friend that she meets at school. Jules is the type of friend that every girl should have in their life. Jules was always there for Tabby, whether it was just a shoulder to lean on or just to talk. Jules never judged Tabby for her past, because like everyone, Jules had a past of her own. Think about it… Who doesn't have a past, whether it's characters in a novel or in real life? We all do…..

"It's time to move forward, Tabby. Time for you to build the life you want to live and stop being a victim."

There are real issues in this book, such as sexual assault, suicide, depression and finding a way to recover. I think the author did a fabulous job by bring attention to these issues.

I would definitely recommend this book if you are looking for a quick read with a great storyline…

Before You Go is a new adult contemporary romance. It makes for a quick read. It was filled with emotions and struggle of Tabitha. It is a really good read and fans of new adult should definitely check it out. Tabitha Kelly, has had to deal with a horrible incident in the past. She suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder because of it.

After a public sex scandal in her college, she moves to a new city to start over. She thinks a one night stand can help her get over he paralyzing fear of her past. That maybe this time, she can regain control. I liked Tabitha as a person. You could sympathize with her. What she had been through was horrible and difficult and she was still living with its consequences. What I liked about Tabitha was that she was determined to move on with her life. She wasn't stupid and she didn't consider herself as a victim. She pulled through even though it was difficult.

Then Tabitha meets Noah Adler. He is determined to bring down her walls. Noah pursues Tabitha relentlessly and slowly and steadily Tabitha unravels. The romance was a big part of the book. Noah helps Tabby get over her fears. To see the trust build between them was really nice. Noah was a pretty typical guy but he had issues of his own as we find out later.

Another thing I really loved about Before You Go was Tabitha's relationship with her step brother Michael. I loved Michael. He was Tabitha's rock throughout. He encouraged her in chasing her dreams and he was there for her all along. Sometimes, sibling relationship is really underestimated in books but I was glad to see that was not the case here.

Jules was a great friend. Tabitha's family supported her through everything. Tabitha had a lot of things to get over from and I loved watching her succeed. I also got a few really good book recommendations which I hadn't heard of before. I will definitely be checking them out. Before You Go was a good new adult read.

I had a REALLY hard time connecting to this story AND the characters. So much so that I powered through until 90% before giving up. I kept going to find out how it ends, but decided I didn't NEED to know so I moved on to my next read.

Now the story touched on an important subject. College parties, being chemically manipulated at a party where you do things you don't want to do and the get tormented, ostracized and bullied after; as well as depression. I commend the author on the subject matter but the story as a whole didn't move, inspire or touch me in any way. :(

It was well written, so it had nothing to do with that. It could be something another Reader would/could love and enjoy...it just wasn't for me. The characters weren't strong enough to catapult me into their lives. I didn't feel the story, I was only reading a story.

RATING CLARIFICATION : 3.5 Stars

I have to say that I truly enjoyed this book. It was definitely a quick read but we'll worth it. I didn't feel that it was rushed at all. I was actually glad that the main drama of the book happened at the end of the book and wasn't dragged on for forever. I will say that this book touches on a subject that has actually been making the news a lot lately. I was glad the author created a female character who was strong enough to pull herself out of the hole that this tragedy placed her in. Lately we have been hearing about the victim not making it through. I was really happy to see Tabby become an even stronger person by the end of the book. I truly believe that was because of the support she got from her dad, Amy, Jules, and of course Noah. Noah was such an amazing guy. It truly broke my heart once his secret came out and that Jenna (his ex) took advantage of the situation. I was also glad to see his character grow by the end of the book. I truly believe Tabby and Noah make a great couple and will be great supports for each other down the road.

I would definitively recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a sweet love story without a lot of the outside drama.

I received a copy of this book for free through NetGalley

The kindle version is currently FREE on Amazon (25th Feb 16)

After a public sex scandal at her college, Tabby moves to a new city with a new school, convinced she can start over. But she soon realizes the changes are not enough. Tabby must take action to help her heal and move on from the past.

And that is where we meet the ever lovable Noah.

This has a lot of your cliche romance tropes however it didn't make the book seem unoriginal to me which I love. Tabby and Noah are a brilliant pairing and they really connected on a level that felt realistic. I love that Noah tries to help Tabby move on from her mistake and I know people have said it but I will say it again - Noah is one of the ultimate book boyfriends. This whole thing is an emotional roller coaster but the connection the two main characters share makes it well worth the ride.

The best part is that it isn't a super long book so you can easily read this in one sitting. I will definitely be reading more by Clare James.

Clare James is a new author that I was lucky enough to find on Goodreads. I was able to get my hands on an ARC of her debut novel, Before You Go and I’m really glad I did.

Ms. James did a stellar job with the opening of this story. It was intense and captivating. There was no way I was going to put this down once I started. This author has a gift of getting the reader to feel the immense sorrow that her heroine, Tabby is trying to pull herself out of.

When you read this book you are definitely going to fall in love with Noah. Clare James did a fantastic job with her hero. The strength he has and his determination to help Tabby makes this book all the better.

I love finding new authors and I have no doubt that we will be getting plenty more where this came from. Clare James has a winner with Before You Go.

I thought this book was really good. I was not able to put it down, it did grabbed my attention and told me to hold one for the ride. BUT I was disappointed in the ending. I do not know if the author will be making a sequel but a lot of the story was left open and as I was reading I was like oh wow can't wait to see what is going to happen and then I was disappointed to see that it just ended. I will write more about this on my blog on Wednesday so all you fabulous people can see ;)! But I do recommend reading this and hopefully the author will write another story about Tabitha and Noah because that would be amazing!!
