I live in California with my amazing hubby of 22 years and our three handsome sons. For as long as I can remember I loved reading and that love only grew stronger with age. My first book Loving Sofia was my first attempt at writing and while not perfect, it gave me a chance to turn a dream into reality and share my story with you. I loved this book.
Finding My Way Home is such a sweet, heartwarming read.
It takes you on a journey and encompasses many emotions: heartbreak, fear, doubt, self discovery, forgiveness, redemption, and love.
Noah is amazing. He's a tattooed heartthrob with a heart of gold.
Brenda is a classic example of a girl with big dreams, who gets what she "thinks" she wants, only to realize it's not what she needs. The story takes you through all of the motions to get Brenda exactly where she needs to be... Home.
Gigi is an awesome friend and I cannot wait to read her story.
Solid 4.5 Stars!
You won't be disappointed.

Rating my own book is kind of funny but I must say this one is my favorite book. It has a little of everything: romance, drama, mystery. I hope you enjoy Brenda's journey as much as I did.

I received this book as a free gift.
I must say, I absolutely adored this story. It was a fun, and at times sad story. Although I generally tend to stray from the mush and turmoil because life tends to throw it at us more often than we'd like. This book did really well portraying it without being too far over the top.
Finding My Way Home really is a metaphor for several ongoing themes in this book....many that i'm sure that most of us can relate to in life.
It really felt like the author took several pages from my life..and at times it was a little hard to tell who's story I was really reading.. the characters, the authors, or mine.

Once I started reading Finding My Way Home I couldn't put it down. Loved the underlying message...of what truly matters in life. I have to admit I was crushing on Noah the second he was introduced! Was wishing for a little more of the steamy moments between Bren and Noah. Enjoyable mix of romance with the added twist of paranormal suspense. Looking forward to Gigi's story!

This story was very heartwarming, touching & funny. It hit home in many ways. There were no parts that dragged on and once I started I couldn't put it down. The story also has a great message. I'd recommend this to all my friends.

This story is about Waking up, Learning to forgive, and New Beginnings. Brenda has just been home to help put her grandma to rest. Brenda's nana was a Wonderful, Strong woman who helped raise & shape the woman who Brenda has become. Brenda could always count on her nana's Wisdom & Unconditional Love, now she's gone and Brenda feels Lost. She feels regret over not visiting as much over the last few years as her life was in Boston since she graduated college. Brenda has a job and made a life for herself with her current boyfriend Joe in Boston.

Joe is the Workaholic boyfriend who seems to have no time for Brenda nor does he show any affection/compassion especially in her time of grief.

Noah is her nana's kind neighbor who turns out to be her childhood bestfriend/ 1st love and YOWZA!!! Noah has grown up into a Delicious, Tatted Sexy man with a Heart of Gold. Brenda didn't even recognize him until they are going through her nana's belongings together looking for some Mysterious letters. Noah informs Brenda that these are her nana's last wishes and when Brenda finds these letters she will know what to do with her future.

Gigi the Sassy, Spitfire, and Loyal bestie from her high school days. Gigi is exactly who Brenda needs and Gigi doesn't fail at bringing laughter back into Brenda's life. Gigi loves her like a sister and is there for Brenda at the drop of a hat.

Angel & Charles are godsends that help Brenda decide on her future back in Boston, open her eyes so to speak. Brenda decides to pack up all her belongings, leave Joe and move back to nana's house, her One True Home. Shortly after Happiness comes back into her life until she comes across the letters her nana left behind.

Now comes the Shocking & Overwhelming news that Brenda has a different father named Max than the one who raised her, also she has a sister named Avery & brother Brian. This entire new family has been wanting to meet her for years. Brenda doesn't know how to handle this new info and to say that this news threw her for a loop is a mild understatement.
Knock, Knock...Surprise visit from said siblings, ensues Panic from Brenda's end then a little pep talk from Gigi, Brenda takes the time to actually get to know Avery & Brian. Brenda is Overjoyed that she has more family who want her presence in their lives. She is Excited & Nervous to go meet her father Max for the 1st time just as Noah & Brenda have just admitted their Love for each other. Gigi is GAGA for Brian Brenda's brother so she tags along on the trip. The meeting goes Smoothly and with her 1st hug from her dad she knows where she Belongs.

The Ending is even Sweeter so Buy this Book to find out what the future holds for Brenda & Noah!!!!!!

For the last month, I have had a very hard time being able to focus on a book long enough to read more then one chapter. Then I started this book. I started reading it at 5pm and read through to one chapter before the end, I probably would have finished it in one sitting, if my eyes would have cooperated. I finished the last chapter, and the epilogue at lunch the following day.

I loved this book! It was a very quick and easy read, and really enjoyed Brenda's story. I really connected with her as I just lost a loved one, and have been learning to deal with the loss and the void, just as Brenda was learning and adapting.

Alina did a fantastic job with this story, and I cannot wait to read the rest of her books!

Such a sweet story that I read in one day.

I felt like I could relate to Brenda in some ways but just wish that I can find the courage to make the decisions she made along the way.

Now if I could just find a guy like Noah to appear at my door everything would be much better!

And I loved Gigi and can't wait to read her story

Heart warming......

I could relate so much to this book. Losing my mother 2 years ago suddenly left a huge hole in my heart. As the main character develops, its heart warming to see how she grows and heals.

Sweet story that warms your heart

This story, told through the first person perspective, draws you in to the everyday challenges, insecurities, and triumphs we experience in our lives. I love the main character and her two childhood friends for the unselfish love and support they show towards each other and those around them.
