Their second chance generates a dangerous kind of heat…

A Cascadia Wolves Story

As a cop, Michelle Slattery is familiar with the dark side of human behavior, but this case is way above her skill level. Mages have been scouring the country kidnapping witches, draining their energy, and leaving their broken bodies behind.

With Michelle’s best friend among the missing, she appe

I would think that for a majority of this series would find it hard to just pick this up, read it and remember the characters and who was who!....It has been 5 years in between this and the previous book and over 2 years since I had read said previous story and I struggled with some of the characters as trying to remember who was head of what clans and the hierarchy etc...If you just concentrated on Michelle & Josh then it is a enjoyable read but because I couldn't remember some of the chara ...more

I loved this book but it definitely is one of those books that you have to have read every book/series by the author because she combines plot lines from her different series without warning. I've been a big fan of the Cascadia and De La Vega books but never read her other paranormal series about witches and mages so I found myself very confused wondering who people are and what was going on. The ending was very disappointing as there's no actual resolution. The characters themselves are enterta ...more

This is book 7 in the Cascadia Wolves series. What can I say? I'm hooked. I love the world this series is in. I love how her other paranormal series tie into this world and have over lapping characters. This story is about Michelle and Josh. She was his high school sweetheart and is now a cop, a human cop. He was a football player and is now an enforcer. This was a very good story. She is a witch who needs a home. And friends. Her best friend was found ritualistically murdered. Her Magick was dr ...more

Lauren Dane is one of my absolute favorite authors and her paranormal romances are some of my favorite stories. Unconditional is a great example of why I love her and feel she’s great in the genre. If you’re new to Ms. Dane I do not recommend starting with this story because she not only incorporates characters from earlier stories but she also weaves storylines from other series. If you’re not a long time reader you’re going to get confused. If you are a long time reader like me, I loved how sh ...more

Well it started off as a good plot and story idea but the further I read into it the more this story read like, I don't know, ammature-ish. The flow of this story seems choppy and some what not constructed very well. There was too many things that just didn't seem rational in here. Even though this story is fictional, paranormal, fantasy, there are always some "given" elements that bring us to see them as possible, even as they really are far-fetched in reality. Here in this story, those element ...more

I really like how the author is bring together her different series that are set in this same world. What I didn't like is how abruptly this one stopped. It makes me thinks that things are going to be picked up in one of the other books, but it left me reeling in this book.

One of the good things about this book was all the cooperation between all the characters. I loved how everyone, no matter wolf or witch, welcomed Michelle with open arms, loved that they all were willing to teach her whatever

Lauren Dane is back visiting the Cascadia Wolves! Although we've never really left them 100%. We had some De La Vega Cats stories and of course, the Bound by Magick series expands on this same world. But we are finally back on familiar ground, while still taking into consideration the events in the books of those spin off series.

UNCONDITIONAL mixes the wolves and the witches. That was the first thing I was extremely excited about while reading this book. I love when the couple has a witch and a

Michelle Slattery is a cop and a witch and as both she has seen the more nasty side of human behavior. Witches are still in hiding from the human population but when her childhood best friend and fellow witch is taken by Mages, Michelle is ready to make a bargain with anyone to get the help she needs to find her; especially when the witches that have been taken have all ended up dead. That is what takes Michelle to the Pacific Pack and where she finds an even bigger surprise.

Outstanding story

As always, I have yet to find something Lauren Dane writes to be anything less than outstanding. her stories bring the right blend of characterization, story line, and action to keep you involved and on the edge of your seat. When I start one of her books I have difficulty putting it down until it is finished and this story was no exception. I highly recommend this one. Just a note, while this could be read as a stand alone, you will enjoy it more if you have read the books that

There really aren't words for how much I loved this book. On it's own it would be a good book, but as a fan of Lauren Dane, this book is amazing! How she was able to continue not one, not two, but three different series in this one book is completely unbelievable.

But, I am a huge fan of the Cascadia Wolves series and was thrilled when I learned this was a sequel. Learning more about Josh and his story and seeing the Warden family and all their mates that we've come to love through the Cascadia

The Cascadia Wolves series was my first experience with Lauren Dane’s work and since then I have devoured everything she has written. While I love all her books, this series holds a special place in my heart. We have seen brief glimpses of the wolves in the De La Vega Cats and Bound by Magick books but I was really excited to return to the world of Nina, Cade, Grace, et al. The wait was worth it – Unconditional was an excel

As others mention, this is a bridge book. There are references in the story to the Bound by Magick, Cascasia Wolves, and De la Vega Cat stories. I have not read the BBM series, and have only read bits and pieces of the Wolves and most of the Cat stories. That being said, I could tell that I might be missing a little info, but I felt that I got the gist of what was going on. After reading this story, I did read the first book in the BBM series, and both seemed to reference Kendra's story (Revelat ...more

If you haven't read any of the Cascadia Wolves or de La Vega Cats books I would suggest you do that before reading this.

This book is about Josh (wolf and Enforcer) and Michelle (witch and Cop). They are childhood sweethearts, and Michelle was left heartbroken when Josh left her as a teenager without so much as a good bye. They meet up again years later when Michelle goes to the local wolf pack for help finding her best friend, and sparks fly.

I love these books and I love Lauren Dane. Characters

Michelle was a tough little witch and cop. Even going through so much turmoil she manages to pull it together to do her job even when her boss doesn't want to let her. She finds it hard to resist her high school sweetheart after finding out the real reason he disappeared years ago, especially when he makes it apparent he will do anything to help.
Josh sees Michelle again after years and all his old feelings come rushing back. His wolf wants her too. He'll do anything to help her solve her case, b

This is a continuation of the Cascadia Wolves series. Josh is the Enforcer of the Pacific Pack. Pacific is related to Cascadia through their alpha female, Tracy Warden, from book #3 Tri Mates.

It's been a while since I read the books in the series before this one and I haven't gotten around to reading the 2nd or 3rd books in the (related) de La Vega Cats series, but I didn't have any problems following the storyline here. I really liked that Josh didn't push the issue of them being mates because

I must admit that I love Lauren Dane's writing style. I really like the shifter world that she has developed and writes about. This story is about Josh an Enforcer for the Cascadia Pack and the high school sweetheart, Michelle, he left behind when he was turned into a wolf. Michelle (a cop and a witch) is searching for her missing friend and goes to the Cascadia Pack for help, where she runs into Josh again. This story picked up story threads from the de la Vega Cats series and the Bound by Magi ...more

I really enjoyed this new Cascadia Wolves installment. Ms. Dane has stated pretty clearly that to really understand and enjoy this book, you need to have read at the very least the Cascadia Wolves and Bound by Magick series. In my opinion, you should have also have read the de La Vega series. All of these series take place in the same world with characters showing up or being mentioned in cross series, as well as world events. This book takes place (according to author) during book 3 of the Boun ...more

Three some - didn't like it. The story was kind of good in the beginning but things started to fall flat after you find out Michelle's friend, Allie died and she couldn't save her.

I like this series but it's been a really long time since I read the last book in the series so it took a little time to remember who some of the characters were. And yes, characters from past books in the series do make an appearance here. I didn't feel I could rate this much higher because it's one of those transitional type stories - I didn't feel like I got full resolution at the end of this story. It's very definitely a lead-in to the next book, which I really hope doesn't take quite as lon ...more

Gah lost my notes. I'll review this later.

Liked it. Kickass chick with Josh Neely the kickass enforcer for the Pacific. Mage's are kidnapping witches and shifter..big trouble.

Just OK. Started off fine and then fell into the Mate!Mine! rut, causing the story to suffer, and confuse poor little me because although this is the newest book, it refers to stuff coming which has already happened in another series by this author. Actual advances in plot are pretty minimal in order to squeeze in all the admitedly hot sex scenes. Also? I'm becoming a little tired of these "badass" women who are initially territorial and mean to other women until they know them better or calm th ...more

Josh and Michelle

Read 13th August 2013

I love Lauren Dane. Any book she write, no matter the genre I will read.

Josh and Michelle were childhood sweethearts, but josh left without a goodbye. When Michelle goes to the pack for help and meets Josh again the sparks still fly between them.

I loved watching Josh and Michelle pick up their friendship and them working towards a relationship.

I also hope that a certain character that was introduced in this story get his own book. He makes a huge impressi

I love this series! I loved Michelle and Josh, they have so much chemistry together. Michelle is a witch and a police officer who has to hold it together when her best friend is kidnapped. When she seeks help she runs into her high school sweetheart who walked away from her years ago. Follow their journey to rediscovering each other. Will they find her friend? Will love prevail? Must read!

This was better than a 3 but not quite a 4. Still, since GR doesn't have a way to rate a book as 3.5, I'll round up to 4.

It was actually a good story and I enjoyed it very much. It just seemed similar to my mind to many others she's written in the past. Still, if you have been following any of Dane's shifter/witch series, you'll definitely want to read this one too.

I am a big fan of Lauren Danes. The writing with this one was good as usual but, the story was a little lacking. Normally there is a lot of drama and this one didn't have that--- I kinda missed it lol. The ending seemed a but rushed and abrupt too. Over all I really liked it and will definitely continue to purchase and read her novels.
Carol
A bridge book really, but v enjoyable and makes me want to read the whole series (all 3 strands) from the start. If you are new to the series I would definitely recommend starting with an earlier book in the series. For those of us who wait impatiently for the next instalment - thank you Ms Dane!

Lauren Dane has been writing stories since she was able to use a pencil, and before that she used to tell them to people. Of course, she still talks nonstop, and through wonderful fate and good fortune, she’s now able to share what she writes with others. It’s a wonderful life!

The basics: Lauren is a mom, a partner, a best friend and a daughter. Living in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest,
