A Cascadia Wolves Story
As a cop, Michelle Slattery is familiar with the dark side of human behavior, but this case is way above her skill level. Mages have been scouring the country kidnapping witches, draining their energy, and leaving their broken bodies behind.

One of the good things about this book was all the cooperation between all the characters. I loved how everyone, no matter wolf or witch, welcomed Michelle with open arms, loved that they all were willing to teach her whatever ...more
Lauren Dane is back visiting the Cascadia Wolves! Although we've never really left them 100%. We had some De La Vega Cats stories and of course, the Bound by Magick series expands on this same world. But we are finally back on familiar ground, while still taking into consideration the events in the books of those spin off series.
UNCONDITIONAL mixes the wolves and the witches. That was the first thing I was extremely excited about while reading this book. I love when the couple has a witch and a

I forgot how much I enjoyed this series Now I'm having to go back and find the books I missed. In this book, Michele's a cop and a witch and she is searching for her missing friend who is also a witch. Unfortunately, witches aren't out to the public like shifters. She can see the wrongness in the energy left in her friends apartment and knows it can only come from mages with stolen magic. In order to get help and keep her secret she turns to the werewolves. As always, I have yet to find something Lauren Dane writes to be anything less than outstanding. her stories bring the right blend of characterization, story line, and action to keep you involved and on the edge of your seat. When I start one of her books I have difficulty putting it down until it is finished and this story was no exception. I highly recommend this one. Just a note, while this could be read as a stand alone, you will enjoy it more if you have read the books that ...more
But, I am a huge fan of the Cascadia Wolves series and was thrilled when I learned this was a sequel. Learning more about Josh and his story and seeing the Warden family and all their mates that we've come to love through the Cascadia ...more
The Cascadia Wolves series was my first experience with Lauren Dane’s work and since then I have devoured everything she has written. While I love all her books, this series holds a special place in my heart. We have seen brief glimpses of the wolves in the De La Vega Cats and Bound by Magick books but I was really excited to return to the world of Nina, Cade, Grace, et al. The wait was worth it – Unconditional was an excel ...more
This book is about Josh (wolf and Enforcer) and Michelle (witch and Cop). They are childhood sweethearts, and Michelle was left heartbroken when Josh left her as a teenager without so much as a good bye. They meet up again years later when Michelle goes to the local wolf pack for help finding her best friend, and sparks fly.
I love these books and I love Lauren Dane. Characters ...more

It's been a while since I read the books in the series before this one and I haven't gotten around to reading the 2nd or 3rd books in the (related) de La Vega Cats series, but I didn't have any problems following the storyline here. I really liked that Josh didn't push the issue of them being mates because ...more

I love Lauren Dane. Any book she write, no matter the genre I will read.
Josh and Michelle were childhood sweethearts, but josh left without a goodbye. When Michelle goes to the pack for help and meets Josh again the sparks still fly between them.
I loved watching Josh and Michelle pick up their friendship and them working towards a relationship.
