Lillian Francis (Goodreads Author)
Blush sensuality level: This is a sensual romance (may have explicit love scenes, but not erotic in frequency or type). Tired of having been constantly on the move, Drew is determined to make Cardiff his home. When he starts his new job as a teacher, he strikes up an immediate friendship with Nathan Morgan, a young history teacher. Nathan is instantly attracted to Drew but...more

I. WANT. TO. HUG. BOTH. NATHAN. AND. DREW.
Yep, like this.
I loved this book. SO MUCH.
Loved both Nathan and Drew, and Kimi too, she was a dear friend.
But oh, that b*tch Claire. I wanted to really -really!- slap her, she was so evil and did so much harm -grrrr- selfish pig!!
Anyway, I already said I LOVE this book? Oh, yeah, I did. XD
But there's one *little* negative thing... the cover! It doesn't have anything to do with the book at all! Oh, well. XD

Sweet story about Drew an American teaching in England and Nathan also a teacher at the school.
I kept having to remind myself that Drew is actually 10 years Nathan's senior, since really Nathan is definitely the more aware and mature of the two.

I’m having a bit of trouble deciding if I liked this or not?
Actually, that’s a bit harsh, because I guess I did enjoy it overall, but there’s just something about it that bothered me. I think it was the way it was written, it didn’t feel very M/M for me. Maybe the way the author approached the whole plot that seemed like old school MF for me.(although by that I don’t mean that you could replace a male character with a female one). It was just this strange feeling bugging me while reading it . Ma...more

My actual rating would be 4.4 stars. This has been such a lovely friends-to-lovers type of read! I was very impressed with the author's style of writing, the manner in which some plot clichés were neatly avoided or given unusual developments, the gentle romance between Nathan and Drew, their multi-dimensional characterisations, the school setting seamlessly integrated into the story and I could go on and on... Definitely recommended! And I look forward to reading something else by Lillian Franci...more

4.5 stars - Very nice read! I really enjoyed it, although I must point out that the cover is completely unrelated to the story. I loved the interaction between the two main characters, the development of their friendship and the way Drew developed and managed to get past his fears. Most of the time, I just wanted to give him a massive hug. And the scene at the zoo was fabulous. I just loved the whole family dynamic, when Drew visits Nathan's sister and spends time with Nathan's adorable niece. I...more
I did enjoy reading this story, but somehow couldn't connect with this storyline. I liked Drew and even Nathan, but those arguments, while begin serious, didn't ring well for me. Nathan behaviour while Clare played her game with Drew's naivety, wasn't acceptable. Nathan knew that Drew didn't sleep with Clare, at least deep down he did, but he had doubts about that, silly man. Anyway, Drew and Nathan went to some troubles, but developed a deeper relationship through them. Which was enjoyable part...more

An avid reader, Lillian Francis was always determined she wanted to write, but a 'proper' job and raising a family distracted her for over a decade. Over the years and thanks to the charms of the Internet, Lillian realized she’d been writing at least one of her characters in the wrong gender. Ever since, she’s been happily letting her ‘boys’ run her writing life.
