Every time I read a story from Ms. Sarai, it's arousing and sensually erotic. This one of "just spanking" is more than spanking fun. There are various combinations in the short stories. Fortunately I'm pansexual so I enjoyed almost every single story. HAWT!
Ms. Sarai writes the sex scenes with tasteful kinkiness and just the right emotion. The emotion could be happiness, fear, anger, etc. It's always the right one at the right time. Her stories are well packaged into tightly written pieces with a beginning, middle and end. What she does do, is give us a lust for more. I feel satisfied with each story and I look forward to her next one. It's like going to my favourite dim sum restaurant. There is a satisfying meal for my desires and I can always return to her for more!
There is only one story in here that I wasn't thrilled with. It's the one dealing with eating disorders. My friend who had an eating disorder was not like this. What I've been taught for how to help or work with someone with eating disorders is actually completely opposite of how it's handled here. Now obviously, I've only been trained on common textbook eating disorders. I'm sure there are variations. People are different. However, the underlying issue with eating disorders is that the person feels they are out of control. People are pressuring them or society is pressuring them. They can not control anything so the only thing they can control is their body. What they can put into it or force to give up. I realize I'm making it very simplistic and I'm definitely NOT in this field of expertise. This one story just made me feel ill at ease.
Still, this story is a must read and I recommend to kinky readers who love spankings!

Loved this anthology. Each story is different, hot and articulately written.
Favourite 3 stories (though I did enjoy them all!) would be 'JUST A SPANKING' - could you get off on just a spanking? This very first line had me, gripped me, and I read it at a speed that made me dizzy! Yum! I also loved WIRED a great tale of female dominance, the characters literally burst to life from the page, and SILVER BELLS - oh, such naughty fun, I would have liked to carry on reading that one late into the night!!

This was a pretty good book of short stories this was my first time reading this author. It's nothing like a good spanking it was hot and you will definitely need to take a cold shower I just wish it was longer

Read this ages ago whilst looking for something better than that 50 shades book. Like with all genre's there are good writers and there are terrible writers, Lisabet Sarai is a much better writer but alas is not as popular.
This collection is well written and entertaining. Give it a go if you have a banana split lying around and want something imaginative to do with it.

I did the review for this book a bit different than I usually do, mainly cuz of the length of the stories.. Enjoy the book..
A series of short stories that covers quiet a bit of kinks, some Im like yeah baby... while others.. not so but interesting to say the least. I cant imagine cumming just from a spanking.. I do wonder though.. if one would fall into the "pain slut" category. Next two stories., bondage by video cables!! how to improvise when the right toys aren't available. One of the stories has a Dom.... pulling a bit of a guilt trip on his sub. (ahhh.. here I thought you wanted to please me... I thought I trained you well.. )Though I can almost see why a little bit of guilt tripping is called for.. smiles. Then of course whats a BDSM story that isnt themed "sharing is caring", imagine more than one set of hands on you... oohh did she beg.. to stop or continue? mmmm Does it make you hot to hear or to say " please, please take me.."? ooh and a now fav saying "spanked ... ass to the color of rare steak* ive soo never heard that but will remember it!! A bit serious.. the story about the Chocolate Sunday.. really bothered me.. I wont go into.. so you will have to read it. ....Drum Roll please.. we have "dirty old men" rawr! and in the hospital no less.. *gasps the shame of it all.. well not really. Once again the evil cheater makes itself known.. the cheaters favorite line.. " I meant to tell you"... as the cheater is found out and its all about "Double the Pleasure" or.. is that "Double the Pain"? Then the last story.. was it cheating really...?? was it reality? or just a mind trick??

This is a book containing several short stories.
The 1st story bordered on abusive to me. I have read lots of BDSM books and when the character in her mind is thinking:
I can't take any more. I'm sure that I can't. I worry that he'll do real damage.
That thought was going through the character's head while the man was spanking her. That to me is abusive and not something I care to read about.
There were various stories, some of which were f/f genre. I didn't see any warning on the synopsis for this book that indicated there was f/f genre stories among this book. Quite honestly I would never have read it and think as a reader we should be notified when this content is in books.
I have read M/M genres before (which were NOT in this book) and if you know what books I read, I read quite a few of those. I have read menage books and if a book contains any f/f sexual interaction, books warn about this. If it's a book in a series I am invested in, I will gloss over that part (not something I enjoy reading), however I didn't really appreciate there being no warning that f/f sex scenes were in the book. Despite it being a free book, I would have probably passed on it, especially when I had such issues with what I considered to be abusive action in the 1st short story and not continued with the book.
Even though I do read menage books and M/M genre, I think everyone is entitled to know ahead of time what type of content is in a book, even if it's a short story. While some people may enjoy some genres, others don't and deserve to know what they are getting themselves into when starting a book.
Regardless of my thoughts on the lack of warning, I skimmed over those short stories containing f/f sex scenes and tried reading the others. The stories just didn't hold my interest whatsoever.
I can't say I'd recommend this book to others, but to each their own. There may be others out there that love this book, I was just NOT one of them.

I hate giving such low ratings and rating something harshly, but you know I am 100% honest about what I think of a book. This is a book I will never again read and I can't see myself reading this author's books in the future when I didn't enjoy the several short stories provided in this book.
Despite my inability to recommend this book to others, if it sounds interesting to you, I don't discourage others from trying it. Everyone has their own tastes and this just wasn't a book that interested me, but that doesn't mean others will feel the same as I did.

It was a quick read. Lots of shorts steamy stories. To be dominated has never been a fantasy of mine, but most of the shorts were well written. One or two of them begins to feel like they border along the lines of abuse, but that's was Dominance & Submission is about. The last one didn't hold me like the others did. I read it again, and I still wasn't feeling it. But quick and good for an "in-between" book.

A good selection of short, erotic, spanking based stories. I appreciated some more than others, but I think that was based more on personal preference rather than the stories merits. Easy to read, during spare moments ;)

This was a pretty good set of stories. I liked 4 out of six of the stories. Two of them I absolutely loved and one was Femdom which surprised me because I never thought I'd like that subgenre.
