Rate this book
Bin Roye Ansoo is a beautifully written Social Romantic Urdu Novel by today's top most famous women writer Farhat Ishtiaq. Its a simple love story in written in a simple manner but with a touch of class and novelty. Farhat Ishtiaq has always expressed human feelings and emotions in her stories. This novel Bin Roye Ansu is not exception and she wonderfully expressed the feelings of Saba Shafiq, the lead character of the novel. The feelings of Saba Shafiq are so strongly expressed that readers will feel the same emotions of love, happiness and sorrow with each and every step of the novel characters.

SO, first I'd like to thank my friend Saman for recommending me this book. Thank you Saman :)

I already knew the gist of the story through its serial trailers and I sure didn't like it in the beginning mainly because of our protagonist Saba. She seemed just too childish and immature that I didn't expect to enjoy this one much, but as I read on, it became something way more than that and I found myself enjoying it, even loving it.

I can't say if I saw the twists coming because I already knew all those twists before even beginning this one, but the writing affected me in ways I didn't expect.
I cried a lot, in so many different places for so many reasons and I loved it more for that.

I enjoyed seeing the characters grow. Farhat Ishtiaq did good character development. Irtaza was the best through all of it. So understanding and so mature and caring.
I understood Saba's point of view too, all too well I suppose.

I couldn't wait to start the TV show, and it seems just as good :)

I am not a Farhat Ishtiaq fan. But since this novel was published in Kawateen digest, I read it anyway.

Farhat Ishtiaq sometimes repeat the details so much that you lose the interest in the book and get bored.

The characters are always extremist, whether its love or hatred.
This is story of an over-possessive little girl who was in love with her cousin. Everything changed when they grew up.
Some accidents that changed their life. But then there is a happy ending like all her novels.

My review might have spoilers so please read at your discretion. I read this one obviously to watch the series.

For me it was a Pakistani cousin version of the famous Indian movie, Kuch Kuch Hota Ha with some more twists, tragedies, chat masala and drama . This story is about the kids of a well settled joint family system with 2 brother's families residing in one house . Irtaza as Rahul (SRK) , Saman as Tina (Rani) and Saba as Anjali (Kajol).

My main issue which also resulted in minus 1 star was the last line. Oh god it was extremely frustrating to read about Saba, when eventually you're moving on with life and accepting Irtaza as your husband, what was the point of telling your dead sister's portrait that I will give them back to you on the day of Judgement and they're an Imanat for me I'm not going to do any khiyanat. I mean, then don't go and share the bed as well . Coz to me that's khiyanat right there. Or just go and get your dream fulfilled huq say!
There were some tear jerking moments specially involving the child , and Saba's aversion to her sister's son was also not sitting right with me. Also Irtiza's sudden change of heart when Saba drenched in rain confesses her love and bares her soul unto him. The focus was only on Saba
whereas, Irtiza's character should also have shown some progress over the time. He was praised alot in the beginning and consistently but later on it was only Saba .

I love angsty type romances with a happy ending of course. It was somewhat like that if only it had been a bit believable . I mean who prays for her own sister's death unless one is mentally unstable. Whatever and however bad the situation might be. Also who pretends to be married to a person just for the sake of it.

All in all it's a good quick read , you can enjoy it if all the above things don't bother you! The series is available on Youtube and is a must watch as I found it slightly better than the novel itself. (Mainly due to Mahira's impeccable acting)

Melodramatic, coincidental and stereotypical.
A coming of age tale, which remind the tragedies and heartaches in our lives, and how unshed tears have to be dealt with somehow.
Liked it when I was a teen, not so much sure about it now.

This is a Farhat Ishtiaq's work that means it must be a good one to read. First I saw the drama Bin Roye then I read this novel and I can say the drama is too good in the sense of act of Saba. Novel is also wonderful the emotions, feelings, love & affection, hatred were described very well. Saman's character was something that I thought She is the one we cant think bad about her, actually in drama it was quite confusing for me that she knew about Saba's feeling or not, that accident was actually accident or she wanted to get die?
All I can say that its a wonderful story, I got emotional at the end with such heart warming dialogues. Its a good read to go.

I read it two times... First time I read it when I was in college.
Its a common story and characters are so normal, but the lines and words are so powerful.
Saba's character is full of love and emotions, Saman (Saba's sister) and Irtaza love each other. they get married, Saba also loves Irtaza. In the end, Saman died in a road accident and Saba get married to Irtaza.
Too much typical story, but lines were so emotional and describing the scene/feelings is also very effective, that's why it's much interesting for me...

I liked the character of Irtaza and Saman. Saba's character was stereotyped. Emotions were too strong in the novel. Overall it was a good novel. Worth of reading.
