"We could debate if this review is biased or not, but I'd like to say it isn't. After all, I didn't actually write any of the stories, I just helped get them out into the world. And truly, it shouldn't even be my name listed on that book. It should be"

It's been quite a while since I've read this book, so sadly I don't have a super specific review here. However, I remember so much of this being SO WELL DONE. The worldbuilding? Amazing. The themes? Deep. And the story? Interesting, relatable, and - for lack of a better word - wonderful. There was so much to glean from this, and I'm pretty sure I didn't get half of it (which probably means I should add it to my TBR list again XD).
Overall, "Shadow" AND "Dust" were intriguing, powerful additions to the YA world that I'd recommend to anyone who wants to give them a go.
(This was given to me in ARC format in exchange for a review. Sorry for the long wait, Ms. Swanson!)
Language (including insults): 1/5
Violence: 3/5
Sexual Content: 1/5 (mentions of courtship/crush-like feelings, at least one kiss)
Triggers: 3/5 (magic, mentions of death and mental issues, peril, nothing else I can think of at the moment...)
