Hung takes you on a journey full of both highs and lows, peaks and valleys, ups and downs. The storyline and characters are fully developed and have great depth. The plot progresses at a very satisfying pace allowing readers to process the actions of the characters. The humor in this book is absolutely fantastic...making you laugh out loud and shake your head throughout. Let it not go unmentioned that the eroticism in this book is...hot, gritty, raw, steamy, explosive, and fully on. NOTHING COMPARES!
This journey begins with Biscuit and all his awesomeness. You are introduced to Biscuit in the other Selected Sinners books but you truly get to know him in this book. You see his sexy ways, his beard, and of course tats. Biscuit is what some would assume to be your typical bad boy. However, in Hung; we get to see more of him. Something that is much more important than his outer characteristics. We get to see his heart. Having his heart involved, along with his very impressive other parts, allows us to watch him slowly change. I'm not one for giving out spoilers but take my word for it. You will want to read about him and learn why everyone wants a Biscuit with some gravy.
Biscuit's partner on this journey is Katrina Chatsworth, aka Kat. She is a strong heroine, had been dealt a bad hand prior in her life, and extremely relatable. Kat is a worthy partner for Biscuit and able to hold her own up against him. The beauty of their relationship was based on total honesty. Hildreth has a way of writing that showcases this. For me, that is yet another way to make a text to self connection. It is a necessity and required building block that they shared which contributed to a successful relationship. I will not give out the nitty-gritty but will say this...make sure when you are reading you have the AC turned up because Hildreth took their love to burning inferno! Cold shower needed after reading! Proceed with caution!
Throughout the book, Kat and Biscuit's relationship grew and changed. Both characters were willing to take the bull by the horn and risk their heart because of that change. In life, change is always evident. Hildreth showcased that in many subtle ways...showing us how it feels when change is not accepted and mayhem occurs. Kat and Biscuit's journey on the path of life was the biggest rollercoaster ride ever...full of twists and hairpin turns causing you to grip the bar that much tighter.
If you haven't read Hung you are truly missing out. If you haven't read the Selected Sinners series, you must be living in the dark ages, because this series is the hottest thing since sliced bread. Full of alpha men, who like control in all things, strong heroines who can hold their own up against their partner, and a lot of erotic scenes that will leave you wanting more, while fanning yourself, and needing an extremely cold shower. What are you waiting for...Biscuit said, "Click the damn button already!"

This is the first book I have read by Megan Crane. Her writing style is a little different that other authors I have read before. I found it a little difficult to keep up with which character was speaking...needless to say, I had to re-read some paragraphs to pick up on it. However, with that being said, the story flowed and ebbed throughout, allowing you to jump into the story that was being told. I would and will read more from this author.
This love story is gritty, raw, and beautiful all rolled up in one book full of hotness. The story is very realistic. Who hasn't lost someone and was unable to handle to simplest tasks? That is where this journey begins with Sophie and Ajax. Sophie's life was never easy. She was the only daughter of the President of the Deacons of Bourbon Street MC. She was often left out of a lot of things, especially club business. Her mom was a junkie that left after her birth and was never part of her life on Bourbon Street. Ajax, the alpha male of the book, didn't have an easy life either. He left his home wanting to become a part of the MC. This eventually happened and he became the VP. Things occurred within the MC and members were exiled and became nomads, free to roam.
Needless to say, Ajax (Sean) returned to the Big Easy to bring together the club in order to bury Priest, Sophie's dad. Things heat up between the two quite quickly. It seems like a love/hate relationship between the two. Ajax, being top dog is possessive and demanding of Sophie, reminding her of her "place" in the club. Sophie has never had someone to believe in her and love her the way Ajax does. While the road they travel as a couple is not smooth, both continue to lean on each other and always seem to land on their feet after hitting that bump in the road.
So...if you are looking for heat....don't miss this one. If you are looking for a non-traditional love story...don't miss this one. And lastly, if you love a good MC book...don't miss this one. Make You Burn has it all wrapped up in one MC/biker book with two amazing characters who didn't know how their feelings for each other were going to fit around the MC and club business.
