I mysterious the conversations between Mickey & ‘Arlene’. While I did figure out some of the clues, it did not take away from my enjoyment of the story. This isn’t just a who dunnit, it is also a ‘who is it’. Long hidden secrets, witness protection, corrupt government officials, hidden ill gotten gains, The cat & mouse exchanges are intriguing. And who doesn’t love a single mother that goes sleuthing in her mini van?
The book is also a reminder as to how life choices made by parents can adversely affect their children. Also, a story about false perceptions. And, I always enjoy stories that are situated in my backyard.
