The creation of this book trailer was a collaborative effort between myself, my wife and daughters, and Bonesteel Films here in Asheville, NC. We hope you enjoy it. —Robert

This was shot entirely on location at Biltmore Estate, which is the setting for the book. Images of Biltmore Estate used with permission of Biltmore Estate.

Peter Alezander Congratulations on your trailer. It sets a good mood and the scenes were well put together. It peaks my interest and I'm sure that many others will have the same response. Good luck. I wish you well. It's good to have the backing of your family.

Melissa iorio I know how long I've wished for this book, but I had no idea this video was here. I just stumbled upon it and...O...M...G! I'm officially deeper in love with this story and I haven't even read it yet. The colors so vibrant, the atmosphere so mysterious and mystical. Hands down the best book trailer I've ever watched. Sorry I didn't see it sooner. On my WL and wish I could share the video to twitter, but YouTube or GR's isn't giving me the option for some reason.

Thank you for sharing what made this book jump into my heart......

Robert Beatty Thank you so much Melissa. I'm so glad you like my book trailer. I have to say, it was awesomely fun to make it. We all had a ball. I'm not sure why YouTube and GR isn't allowing you to tweet it out. If you email me your twitter handle at I'll tweet it to you (or you could send it to me in other ways, like here). I hope you enjoy Serafina and the Black Cloak when you get your copy.

Robert Beatty Melissa, Here is another way to see and share the video. Perhaps you could just tweet out this direct link:

Carla Congratulations on the book! With North Carolina being one of our favorite haunts and having experienced the lustre of Biltmore, the video was especially intriguing!! I was compelled to share it on Facebook and wish you all success!!!

Rubi Muy profesional el trailer.

Alison Barber Just finished Serafina with my 9-year-old daughter and we loved her feisty nature and how the story played out. Knew of the Vanderbilts and Blue Ridge Mountains (thanks John Denver) but not Biltmore (we're a long way from North Carolina in Australia) so was great to know it was a real place and real people and learn a bit more about it - and George Washington 11's narrow escape from Titanic. Terrific to see your 'trailer' and get a glimpse of the house and if that's your daughter she perfectly matched our vision of Serafina!
