[close] Award-winning YA author Cheryl Rainfield talks about why she wrote her newest psychological suspense novel STAINED (Oct 2013). In STAINED, Sarah is abducted and must find a way to save herself.

Like Sarah, I was held captive, repeatedly raped, withheld food and water, and had my life repeatedly threatened. And like Sarah, I had to be the one to save myself. I had to save myself over and over again until I was actually safe.
