Generation Gap - Sachiko Ishikawa (English)

[close] Emily lives in the cold city of Bonn, in the 1970s. She loves literature but she feels stuck in university and she starts wondering about asking for a scholarship to pursue her studies in Dublin. Then, she receives a letter which prompts her to make a decision.

Emily's daughter, born in Singapore and raised in Barcelona, travels to Tokyo in search of her identity and a home, which she doesn't seem to have found in any of the cities she has known.

Two different times, two different perspectives, two very different women who share their fascination for the same culture that is, undeniably, a part of them.
