During a God debate with Dinesh D'Souza at Notre Dame, Christopher Hitchens illustrates the fact that religion is not falsifiable. He makes that point that even if Socrates didn't actually exist, the moral and ethical principles attributed to him still stand up, but if Jesus were proven to never have existed his followers would be devastated.

J I like this guy--he was great. I don't understand why he supported the Iraq conflict in the early 2000s before his death, but I still think he was great overall.
