Magnificent Desolation by Buzz Aldrin - 6/23/09

In 1969, Buzz Aldrin became the 2nd human to set foot on the moon. The event remains one of mankinds greatest achievements and was witnessed by the largest worldwide TV audience in history. Millions more have had their perspective unalterably changed by the photograph of Aldrin standing on the moon & the blackness of space behind him. Describing the alien world he was walking upon, he uttered the words magnificent desolation.
