David Foster Wallace seems to have been a painfully observant and honest person who would not let his ego get away with any face-saving vanity without documenting it. Did he ever give himself a break for being human?
... his razor sharp wit, self-deprecating style, and over the top grasp of our language never ceases to amaze....to hear him read it aloud makes it all the more entertaining.....imagine the additional works of wonder that he would have transcribed onto paper if his life had not ended so abruptly.... bravo DFW
