This marvellous clip from the 1955 movie The Girl in the Red Velvet Swing shows Harry Thaw (Farley Granger) and Evelyn Nesbit (Joan Collins) seated in the theatre as Stanford White (Ray Milland) takes his seat. Thaw shoots White but the jury declares Thaw not guilty by reason of insanity.
