Tiffany I'm so excited to see this book turned into a movie. I thought it would make a great movie, and will be a great movie to see in theaters. OMG OMG I'm super excited...YAY

Ashley Breanna huh. not what I was expecting, but still excited to see it.

CC Same. I am really excited to see how they change the worlds and characters as well as incorporate the IRL elements (such as a naked mole rat Wade, but something tells me hollywood doesn't want to show their audience that part.) =P

I hope the movie comes close to the magnificence of the book, however, there are so many references and the book is so detailed it can't possibly incorporate them all.

Goldenamethest Lolol That trailer alone is not true to the book. The oasis spawn point is not a VR underground night club, its earth before it went all dystopian.

who says, that's exactly the next scene. it's a trailer they probably just sliced and diced stuff to make it the "most capturing to viewers" :)

Ashley I am soooo excited to see this! Although I haven't finished Ready Player One (I have about 100 pages left) it has quickly became a favorite of mine. I'm wary the movie won't be as good as the book but this still looks pretty awesome.

That club is clearly the club where Og invited protagonists for a party. In my translation it is "Crazy ball club" in chapter 18.

I am a little worried if they will be able to get enough from the great book into a movie. I see that it will be quite different as there were no races or scorpion riders in the book. Hope for the best, expect worst. From trailer I guess it will be good. :)

Jessica Bailey I wonder how much money they spent on copyright licenses alone...anyway, excited and apprehensive about this awesome book becoming a movie.

That's the scene where he meets Art3mis for Og's bday party.

Ann Does anyone else hear the similarity of the music at the beginning of the trailer to the theme from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory"? It starts at 0:26 as it talks about the oasis and the voice over says "where the limits of reality are your own imagination".

That scene clearly points to Og's party, deeper into the book. You can tell because, like the book, everyone is dancing in the center sans-gravity.
