Ryder leaned down on the counter to face me.
"It's because I call you out on your bullshit. This nihilistic self-pity you inflict on yourself every day."
I stood up and watched the room spin.
"I don't have to listen to this."
Ryder pushed me back into the chair.
"I think you do."
