I’m at a part where the main character Lissy is talking about her grief, it’s powerful for me right now too. Losing my mom I’m so full of grief and sadness. And in the story, she’s two years past losing her husband and it is not the same grief. It’s made me think oh my God, Jaqi, and Patrick the early years and how that is gonna hurt and hopefully you know 30 years when we start to die 30+. Anyway lol

Had been a great read. Goes much further into details than the mini series and having watched it a year ago, it seems very close to the book. Which doesn’t happen often

This book has been tough but great. My first Stephen King novel and he writes very differently than most authors. 169 pages in and I’m able to flow with it better. It’s funny because he writes like I think, in this book anyways. Which has helped with the flow.
In talking to Patrick about his writing, this seems to be his style. Glad I kept with it 🤓
