Well I'm an idiot. I totally forgot about the 'confessions' chapter and how her blood is more potent than anyone else etc etc.

I keep thinking if Bella was just like everyone else and Edward could hear her thoughts, would he still have been interested in her? I can't remember if this gets answered or not in either Twilight or Midnight Sun but did he just attach himself to her because it was like a "break" to not hear everyone's mind?
