My kindle says I have only 5 hrs left til I finish this book. I'm sure that's a gross understatement.

I'm reading this concurrently with watching the new BBC adaptation. I read, then watch the visual of what I just read. I'm finding it hard to put the book down long enough to watch it.

I'm making myself read this before watching the new BBC adaptation. It's a much easier read than I expected. Tolstoy has made this story more compelling than Anna Karennina, the plot moves along faster the characters are more alive in my mind though maybe this is just a superior translation.
