Theory for the rest of the series — if the void sever stuff does happen in book 3 and is the/a big climactic moment, I predict Alaric/his dad will invade once they find out Talasyn’s been lying and screw up the amplifiers so that Alaric and Talasyn have to amplify their magic by themselves and show off how powerful they really are (that or they fail and kill everything lmao)
