One thing that sets this book apart from books like, 'Teach Like A Pirate,' is the fact that Doug Lemov doesn't spend pages grandiosely fluffing his own feathers; instead, he shares and explains techniques that he has learned and observed from dozens of master teachers from across the country in terms that are very easy to understand.
