I am OBSESSED with the way Rooney develops such nuanced human relationships. However, I think a little too much sexy time and not enough punctuation

I do like how interested Rooney is in people. Scratch that, not just people but their conditions and environments and social mannerisms. She creates these people, and then explores meditations on meaningful things like climate change, dead languages, systems of oppression, the value we place on celebrities, and sexual expectations among other things.

I am really excited about this. 1.) this is the first Ebook I got off of my library’s Libby system (how have I not used this before!?) 2.) I really want some good contemporary literary fiction after my diet of ya and classics 3.) I have heard a lot about Sally Rooney and it’s hype
