Ceilidh That's great news. I liked the first book, really liked the second book and hope to love the third. My main problems lay with the romantic elements in both (and the fact that I couldn't stand Mary). Is that prominent in this book?

Penny So far Mary isn't even in this book, thank goodness. Even as an adult she really grates on my nerves. The Dark and Hollow Places tells the story of Anna, Gabry's twin sister. While there is a romantic storyline, sort of, there is no sign of a ridiculous love triangle developing.

Anna has been on her own since Elias left her in the city so she's tough, strong, can take care of herself. She's bitter and for good reasons. One of the major reasons was mentioned in The Dead-Tossed Waves. I forgot about it until it was brought up, immediately, in this book. Now I sort of wish I'd picked up TDTW before starting TDAHP because there are several things I forgot about. But I read TDTW back when it first came out over a year ago.

Anyway, if you read and liked Ryan's story from Zombies Vs. Unicorns I think you'll like this one too. Like I said, her writing has evolved.

Ceilidh Sadly Zombies Vs Unicorns didn't come out here (or if it did it was impossible to find) but I'll definitely be checking out this book. Her books have the best titles ever!

Megan Ack! Didn't realize thgis was available already ~ need to get to Barnes & Noble asap!
