Just in the short couple pages he manages to builds us up to an illusion of the mind. With him not only being a writer it's like he created a stage and drew us into a vision he described for us. Kinda neat. He goes on with telling us how important writing and reading to him whether it's an audio book or physical book it can take you away from the physical world for awhile and immerse us into a different world...

This part is a little slow just describing the verb adverbs and why it's used and different ways of using other words instead.

This part went on long but over all summarized it was mainly about his grandfather made a toolbox with all his tools quite organized made of wood also very heavy. Having all your tools in your toolbox as a writer knowing what words to use where and when and when you don't want to be too repetitive use different grammar to make your writing interesting and not boring and he goes into the examples of how to use it...

Wow what a sad and crazy chapter how he and his brother watched his mom pass even on her death bed she wanted a smoke. He also goes into his drinking days and how they were not exactly good and it led him to do drugs as well and his wife started noticing he wasn't himself anymore so he realized he needed to clean up and when he did things got better. A few of the books he wrote while intoxicated one being Cujo...

How the publication of Carrie really happened. First 2500 in advance and another 400K dollars which he signed a contract for half of that. Still 200K was still good. He immediately went out to buy something fancy for his wife but couldnt find anything so he got her a hairdryer.

Wow what a lot to cover in this one part Steve really goes into description of everything that happened In his school life growing up he based a lot of the characters on people he knew and changed it up a little this led to the novel that would be Carrie later on that he threw in the garbage than then became his big break when his wife saw something in it that made him who he is today a famous writer.

His life was be forever changed as he and Tabitha brought 2 kids into the world still living their own lives they managed to keep their family going and together. They didn't have much money at the time but they managed to finally get a break. Steve had received a check in the mail for 500 dollars for a story he wrote he thought would never sell. They were happy now.

The story when he talked about the staff in the school he used to attend and how he changed their names but all the people who read it knew who they were. One was really upset while the other said he should really take up writing as a real job in the future and offered to have him write about the sports in the school and that's where he succeeded without getting in trouble. He wrote really well even back then.

Lot of good stuff here kept me reading...he talks about how he would print material at home on a press and sell them at school. He was very influenced by the movies and novels he read but he was trying to redo The Pit and the Pendulum which wasn't his story his principal suggested he write his own story not as she called the previous story trash he ended up doing that and sold copies of his own material.
