The Worm - Ralph Bergengren
When the earth is turned in spring
The worms are fat as anything.
And birds come flying all around

Welcoming the birds by Adrian Mitchell
You hold up your hand.
Now your hand’s a tree.
Small birds fly to it
Gratefully
And they rest their wings,
Your sweet-singing friends,
As they perch like snowflakes
On your fingers’ ends.
