Kim What with you reading this novel and Tristram Shandy, I think you must have found a copy of the 1976 UNSW English 1B syllabus!

Ian "Marvin" Graye Haha. I'm rereading what I read at school and should have re-read for English I at ANU in 1975!

Kim I read a lot of 19th century lit at school, but no 18th century until I was at uni. (Or at least, I didn't read any 18th century fiction. I remember reading Restoration comedies) By choosing the 18th and 19th century English literature option in first year, I missed out on reading a lot of the 20th century writers covered in the other first year course. I'm only just catching up on them now.

I have no idea what's included in an English I course these days at UNSW (or at Sydney Uni for that matter), but I'm willing to bet that there isn't a choice.
