Finished, its now left to memory. Parts will be forgotten others will stay with me.

Started Second Epilogue, while this is interesting, it seems that this is going to end without any more from the stories characters, slightly disappointed.

Finished First Epilogue, After 53 days the end is almost here.

First Epilogue Chapters 2 & 3, Winding down to the end, looking into the future.

Finished Book 15, began First Epilogue Chapter 1. Life continues on, Pierre and Natasha grow close. Author insightfully philosophies on the history and condition of man.

Book 15 Chapters 3-4. War time politics between the commander in chief and the Czar. People start to rebuild lives and towns, life goes on.

Book 15 Chapters 1-3. The grief and loss felt by the family of the killed soldiers. More about the day to day life of soldiers facing extreme hardships.

Finished Book 14 Chapters 2-5. For the past few weeks I’ve been thinking that this is truly one of the best books ever written. Today Tolstoy made the finial sale. The death of young Petya Rostov is as tragic as anything I’ve ever read. His wonderful enthusiasm for life is gone in less than a second. War will always to be with us, mores the shame on us.

Book 14 Chapter 1 A different kind of warfare, the French continue to retreat. The inexperience and exuberance of youth, a focus on Petya Rostov.

Finished Book 13, Chapters 3 & 4, The focus is still on the military.
Napoleon and his army leave Moscow. Focus is also on Pierre, his observations as a prisoner of the French.
