Finished book 13 today, and I'm eying the finish line that is approaching in just a couple short months.

Moving from the first epilogue into the second, this being the final section of the book. The first epilogue really seemed to focus entirely on a small group of people, always at home, with the war in the past, and it honestly felt like we got more character development on some of them in this epilogue than throughout the whole book.

Finished with book 15 and finally moving into the first of the two epilogues. This is an odd situation since the end of the "book" itself doesn't actually seem to feel like an end for any of the storylines, where normally an epilogue would primarily server to give a look at things after the normal wrap-up. In this case the first epilogue appears to span 7 or 8 years which is a bigger gap than the rest of the book.

Finished book 14 today and will be starting the final book before the epilogues tomorrow. Looking forward to closing this book and never opening it again.

Finished book 12 and am feeling so happy that I only have 20% remaining in this monstrosity. lol This year has been a beating in so many ways, not the least of which is convincing myself that I should keep reading this book even though I am not enjoying it at all.

Finished up book 11 today, and am finally in the last quarter of the book. This last section wasn’t the worst, nor was it overtly interesting. It just...was.

Finished book 10 today and am hoping to get a bit of a war-respite in book 11 now. Not that I'm excited by the social gatherings and random characters singing, but it's better than descriptions of bodies torn up by cannon bombardment I suppose.

Finished book nine, another war heavy section with some focus on Natasha and even Napoleon.

Finished Book 8 which seemed primarily to focus on the woes of Natasha and her inability to determine who she loves and how to act on it. I'm hoping Book 9 is less "woe is me" and more substance.

I finished up Book Seven today, and what a section it was. Lots of focus on young love, or perhaps "love", and confusion over who is related to who and just how untoward a marriage might be. I'm very lost when it comes to how many characters there are and who they're interested in, so I'm just along for the ride at this point. Can't believe I'm not even halfway...

I finished book six today and will start book seven tomorrow, and every day I ask myself why I'm still reading this. I don't enjoy it, I don't really see the story going anywhere worthwhile, and I definitely don't feel connected to the characters, but I'm pushing on because at this point I've already committed over 4 months of my life to it. lol I will finish so I can say I finished, and that's about all I hope for.
