37 - some kind of love interest for a Nio. He fixes distortions in people’s magic with a needle! Quite cool.

36 - Nio runs into this nameless guy who can see other people’s magic. He swindles them. Seems the next part of the story.

35 - oh what a beautifully tragic end to Otaro. Ran kept him alive for 5 hours until she fell asleep. The crows took him to everyone he wanted to say goodbye to. He didn’t say goodbye to Ran. Hibi was quite sad for her. She didn’t even get to say goodbye.

34 - Jin and Hibi are chased by the bug. They eventually remember Ran’s sorcerous mother and free her. She uses thorns this time and annihilates the bug! She’s super cool!

33 - Hibi is found by Otaro bug and Jin sweeps in and rescues him. He loses his size and we see big Ran run to Otaro. She uses plant magic to tie him in place. The bug we see creeps out of Otaro’s back wound and reforms as dark Otaro and flies off. Jin witnessed it and moves to meet him in battle.

32 - Hibi was hidden by Sango’s rope. He finds Ran and she transfers her growth to him. He pulls out the thorn but she wants him to run. He pulls the thorns from Jin but his hands start to melt from the poison. And the bug senses a piece of flesh that comes off!

31 - Jin is subdued by the bug’s many bodies. Ran is pierced in the heart. Zen is wrapped up and devoured. Even their mom is taken out because the world lacks flame (due to Ran). Only her young friend lives. He hid himself.
