This one sounds like a pass! But I nave been reading the advance of Stieg's The Girl Who Kicked a Hornet's Nest, and it is now a bit predictable, and violence is its name. Ha! But it is still not a pass.

Yes, I wouldn't recommend reading it unless you've read the rest of the series. The Sookie Stackhouse books are commercial fiction in sales and in writing style. They can be fun if you overlook their flaws. Stieg's books are more literary. They are on my mental to read list.
