It took me 4 whole books, 10 pages from David Coperfield, leaving English Patient and American Gods and 19 days to understand that I need to reread this otherwise I will never overcome this book's hangover.

There are 3 options: either Murakami was influenced by Mishima, or the translaters are the same, or I fell in love with Japanese prose and everything I read seems magical to me.
