Chris I heard him talking about this book on Fresh Air just a few weeks ago. I love listening to him on the radio, he explains things so well! He used to be in London, and they'd sometimes interview him on "Morning Edition" and he was a hoot! Not sure if I want to tackle this book, though, how angry/depressed do you think I'll get? Just listening to the interview was making my blood boil.

Julie Christine Chris- do you remember when TR Reid was in Japan and would send his commentaries to NPR- in the mid 90s I think. I love him- he's so clever and down-to-earth. The book reads the same way. Yes, it's frustrating, but also fascinating. And he takes care to point out the problems with the health care systems in the countries he features (e.g. I really wouldn't want the Canadian model!)

NancyL Luckey Julie,
Thanks for the review. Haven't read the book yet, but I agree with you 100%. The main difference is moral.
