Oh my god, he packed snacks for her. I live him.

He lifted a hand and cupped the back of her slim neck. “I want to hear it fall from your lips for all of my days.”
Gorgeous, awkward pink flooded her cheeks. “Romantic drivel.””

The thing I'm also loving about this book is that it kind of perfectly captures (so far) how disappointing (exasperating? Difficult? Heartbreaking? ) marriage and feelings about your spouse can be despite everything.

“I would not ask you to forgo them. I simply want…” So many things. He touched her cheek, a fleeting caress. “When I’m with you, I have no name,” he whispered. “No title. It’s just me. Just you. I want to keep that feeling, to keep you with me.””
