So, in the first 20% I thoroughly enjoyed the hero's flirtatious banter.

And now, I feel like he's crossing into smarmy territory.

Neat detail about how observant the heroine is though.

I might like wordy authors, but this is too much exposition--on everything.
And good lord, oaks are my favorite but holy i think I've maybe read 1,000 pages on this one.

Ah, Im a few chapters ahead of you. I'll post a status update when I go to bed. But don't feel like stopping where I stopped. I can catch-up tomorrow 😊
