Leaning forward in their saddles, they galloped ahead. Though "gallop" was not quite the word for the way those creatures moved; the speed was right, but they... flowed.

It was not polite to kill someone you had sealed a bargain with.

It only took seven books, but Mat has finally learned some manners! Soon he may even be as polite as these guys:

Nynaeve quivered. "Don't you take that tone with me!" she shouted. "I tell you, I'm not angry! Do you hear me?"

Cadsuane was the first to overcome shock. Her arms rose,
shaking back her shawl, her hands made a twist, and a ball of fire seemed to shoot upward from each palm, streaking into the mist.

"I submit to no one," Rand replied sharply. Min winced. Did he have to sound like a pillow stuffed full of haughty?

Note to self: Start using the phrase "a pillow stuffed full of haughty" in everyday conversation!

"Stop doing your nose like that! I don't smell!" He jerked the hand he had been scratching with from under his coat.

Several days in the scorching heat without a bath and you don't smell? I'm not buying it, Rand, and neither is this cat...

"Moghedien," she breathed. Oh, it could have been another of the Forsaken, but she knew. Well, she had beaten The Spider not once, but twice. She could do so a third time, if necessary.

Wow, she's tough! I don't think I'd react so calmly if I had to face The Spider (or any spider, really)!

She raised her hands, but as balefire launched itself, something flashed around her and she jerked. She stared at the pigeons fluttering away. Pigeons! She nearly spewed the contents of her stomach across the roof!

One of the Forsaken scared by pigeons? Who knew pigeons were so tough?!

He had heard a saying on several women's lips back home, usually when he had done something that looked fun at the time. "Men teach cats curiosity, but cats keep sense for themselves."

Not all cats hang on to their sense, Mat (which is good, since we then get entertaining gifs like this one)!

"Great Lord, you know how I have served you. I serve in the shadows, and your enemies never feel my bite until my venom is working."

Yikes! Moghedien can be really scary at times! No wonder her nickname is "The Spider"! 😨
