“Why? You know why,” Peeta says. I give my head a slight, painful shake. “Haymitch said you would take a lot of convincing.” “Haymitch?” I ask. “What’s he got to do with it?” “Nothing,” Peeta says. (Stop it! both of you. Just listen to me. Peeta, she knows nothing about your feeling so you need to say it. That is, if you really want her to know. And Katniss, open your eyes for goodness sake! Are we clear here?)

Isn't goodreads awesome? When we are on the edge of giving up our read, we have our goodreads friends with their creative encouragements. Rane, Anna, LadyJayne, I'm moving on!!!

This isn't working. I'm reading with the speed of a baby turtle. Maybe I'll just go with the movie.

Okay. So they just strip off this teenage and did some skin cleansing techniques. Of course. No place for self-consciousness. This is post apocalyptic world. No big deal. I'm fine with it. I hope. I shouldn't expect for something like Lilo & Stitch here. [image error]

“Where’s Haymitch?” asks Effie Trinket brightly. “Last time I saw him, he said he was going to take a nap,” says Peeta. “Well, it’s been an exhausting day,” says Effie Trinket.
"Hmmm... I'm not sure if I like this writing," I say.

After a half-day sleep and another half in a state of delirium, I'm ready to read again. [image error]

Thank you Rane darling! *hugs*
Rane answering your question about my problem, to be honest, I think the writing is somehow shallow. It's like pure actions. I feel nothing, no emotions toward Katniss. If I can't even connect with her (while she's the one telling this story), how can I feel anything toward another characters?
