The author talks of self driving cars that can't see pedestrians, of traffic lights that tell drivers to make a turn at the same time the walk signal tells the pedestrian to walk so the driver hits them while making the turn, of crosswalks a half mile apart. These are some of the engineer mistakes in this book. Chapters are very short. Names problems but no real solution so far?

I saw this at the library and just had to grab it. As a pedestrian I am very curious what this book will say. And I am amazed at how fast and easy this is to read, not to mention fascinating. Feels like I am speeding through the book. The roads are designed for speed of cars, not safety for all. Then add in that people don't even follow the rules...
