Ok so I also just this past weekend rewatched all four movies while I was waiting for my books to get here (tragically, I got rid of my old copies years ago in a thrift unhaul, and now I have thrifted someone else old ones back) AND interestingly, Haymitch is at the reaping in the books, acting a fool and falling offstage, and he’s def not there in the movies.

Okay, I also didnt at all remember that dressing katniss and peeta alike was an anomaly by their stylists and haymitch—it’s such an odd detail to have them all be uniform in the movie, instead.

And the first Cinna conversation is also so different than in the movie. It’s so interesting to see the choices made to change them. Def (so far) for the worse in terms of leaving book stuff out or shifting it.
