Grew up watching the movies, first time reading the books now, and I am very impressed at how well the adaptations were made. The movies really respected the plot lines and the overall vibes of the books. If anything the book has a lot more lore and history, but plot-wise…absolutely worth it both reading and watching this story, both amazing experiences.
