I wasn't even planning on reading Insomnia. I've been on a bit of a King reread with the Dark Tower and his Eclipse duology, and Insomnia called to me so strongly I couldn't deny it. It fits in wonderfully with it's tie-ins, and King was writing like a house afire in the Nineties.

Shark week is here! Buddy reading this one with my son to celebrate.

Things are getting hairy...

Man, this book is awesome. Kind of a sprawling family saga so far, and I'm loving every minute.

My digital library consortium just purchased this and I must have been first in line. Lucky day!

Alrighty, the jury's still out, but so far Final Girls is proving quite enjoyable and highly addicting.

Must read...keep getting distracted by delicious summer horror...

I feel like Final Girls is over-hyped and seems to be forcing many to pretend that the "final girls" concept is something new and refreshing. However, here I am (Prime day got me).

So envious of Harry's summer bliss - two weeks alone at The Leaky Cauldron and time to roam Diagon Alley. Dream vacation right there.

I knew about U-boats before this, but I never realized what a devastating and terrifying weapon they were. And the damn things look spooky too. Throw McCammon's story on top of that, and this is an amazing slice of horror.

I had another book queue up next, but couldn't resist after stumbling across this one...McCammon is remarkable, and it's been too long.

Hoping to have the time to finish today; this is one I would have gladly read in one sitting. Superb.

Requiem at Rogano is amazing. The twists and turns and revelations are intense, and I'm only a quarter of the way through.

Irresistible start to this one.

I think this is what they mean by irresistible.

The writing and narration are so well done...

I had to give an Evanovich novel after reading Library at Mount Char lol. I've been meaning to read her for ages.

Perfected ghost stories of a common theme that lend themselves beautifully to narration, which RC Bray performs magnificently.

The further I read, the more entranced I become.

My first Westall; spooky as hell and RC Bray is great as usual.

Also partaking of the audio just released by Valancourt. Looking forward to another RC Bray reading.

This is the perfect summer read.

- Characters on summer vacation? Check.
- Characters heading out to an enormous, vacant house isolated in the woods? Check.
- Goofy locals? Check.
- City folk in the country? Check.
- Children that are more perceptive then adults? Check.
