I'm adoring this book. The plot lines and the format are all very well done. I typically lose steam on a book of stories, but these stories are linked just enough and broken up by the over-arching story enough to entrance.

Loving the hell out of this so far. Cool stories and subtle dissemination of information about the magic of this world. Doesn't take itself too seriously, which is a joy right there.

So far this has a really cool feel to it. Sort of fairy tale and slightly exotic yet eerily familiar. Plus, there's no better time of year to read about the icey cold.

This book is good for the soul. It also serves as testament to Tolkien's astounding creative abilities. It is quite touching the time he took to enrich his children's enjoyment of the holidays with these letters and drawings.

This is the best book I've read in awhile. Aloft was awesome, and the final story is off to an interesting start and of course Kate Mulgrew is an excellent narrator.

I wasn't gonna start this yet, but I got sucked in. Joe Hill is taking a turn at 80's nostalgia and gun violence. Joe Hill is great. His writing is super efficient, impactful, and a joy to behold. Everything feels right, from exposition to dialogue. The inherent freaky-deaky is just a bonus.

And I must say, hell yes, Will Wheaton should narrate everything.

I love this at Halloween time. Might have to stream this on Prime after I'm done reading. Seem to remember the movie was pretty great as well.

Talbot is a freaking scientist. I love his analytical style.

"He knew that not only would it improve Melanie's mood greatly to enjoy some intellectual stimulation, but it also would allow him the luxury to lapse into his own thoughts."

For some reason the above tickles me to no end.
