I’m so happy the author wrote about those CIA team building white water rafting trips that you hear all the folklore about. And — wouldn’t you freaking know it — Argylle, in addition to his arsenal of various martial arts training, is ALSO well versed in kayaking/rafting/water safety and know-how? How convenient!

Standard protocol for the CIA to order disagreeing operatives to “go for beer and pizza.” During which, at a public establishment, they openly yell about failed missions that resulted in partners being arrested for treason. Right.

Don’t worry, if you forget that Federov is likened to a “Black Hole” in the prologue, the simile is introduced — as if brand new — in the fifth chapter. Oh, and what an emotionless Black Hole he is! He just never shows emotion! Always so emotionless, that Federov.
