This book is a lot more engaging than the first one. Things are happening more quickly and it's non stop tension especially the sexual tension between slate and caliban. I love it. Brennan is funny without intending to be. I'm liking Learned Edmund more and more. He definitely lossened up with slate and the group in general.

We are introduced to two new characters, a father and son who are part of the kings people. It is mildly interesting but I feel it's unnecessary to have both pov's. One would have enough. And I would have liked to more of the other female protagonist pov. I hope I get to more of what she's doing. Kaladin struggle is admirable. I'm definitely more interested in him now. I'm looking forward to his chapters.

I'm not liking this one. I'm a huge fan of Brandon Sanderson. Mistborn series and the warbreaker are two of my favorite series and I wanted to read this epic fantasy for so long. And honestly I'm not much impressed. The way it is going with kaladin is depressing. I thought by everything I've seen on booktok or booktuber or just the talk about kaladin to expect more from this book. It just hope it becomes better.

This is my second attempt at reading the series fully. I didn't finish reading through the series the first time because I started reading it by borrowing from the library. And I was not that much interested in it. Then covid started, and well, it wasnt that important at that point in time. But now I am determined to make it this time. I'm not sure how much I will like it. Let's hope I'm a true potterhead by the end.
