This book had a good scenario, and I wanted to read it as it was set on the West Coast of Ireland. Some of the minor characters stood out as good supporting characters and I did like Connor and Kate, the two main characters. I just didn't see any chemistry between them until very near the end. Yes, they irritated each other (a sure sign of romance ahead in romantic fiction) but the end didn't seem right.

I don't usually make a comment about a book until the end, but I had to point out that Shannon Airport is not ' on the outskirts of Dublin' as stated at the beginning of chapter five. I may be being picky, but it makes a book so much more enjoyable if the author has done their research to get facts like this correct.

This was a book I read years ago and had forgotten the story; so it was a nice surprise. A lovely story following Jennifer and her grandmother Samamtha and the loves of their lives.
Short snappy chapters which keep the story moving and gives the reader the ability to snatch a five minute read if they don't have more time.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were likeable and Daisy Styles writes with an easy to read style.

It follows the exploits of Emily, Agnes, Elsie, Alice, Lillian and Daphne as they spend World War 2 working in a bomb factory in the North of England whilst their men are fighting.

A great read.

I downloaded this book months ago, but had to choose the right time to read it due to the subject matter. But it was sensitively written and was a good read. The central characters were (mostly) likeable and you felt like you got to know them, even though most of the book takes place during the course of one day.
