DIRGE! Word choice! Bryan’s father is dying… and I suspect Sommy’s dad is, too…

I got my eye on Amara… she’s lowkey flirting with Bryan.

Ironically, Sommy’s mother mentions that Bryan’s dad might be “mad” (123), but she’s admittedly dealt with depression herself, as is Mezie.

Sommy is struggling to find herself through men… and her studies.

Wow… Bayo is insane for that. And it makes sense that she’s tried to fill the absence of her birthday with the distraction of Bayo and Bryan.

The way she handled her marriage ceremony involving her dad was beautiful

now I see exactly what the reviews are speaking to about this book feeling out of order as a memoir because in talking about how live tweeting during scandal for the cast came to be, she had already mentioned this before, so it certainly reads confusing

I’m still halfway bored to death… I most appreciate her recurring use of the word “magic”. I wonder if she’s a Harry Potter fan…

DNF — I’m bored and the poetry doesn’t work for me as a book read.
