Welp ... plowed/skimmed through another 150 pages. I'll finish this drudgery eventually. 😒

Seriously? Call me crazy, but a 17th century Witchfinder and a 21st century witch doesn’t exactly scream match made in heaven to me.”

“The internet was meant to give us access to a wealth of information. You could find out anything from it. That was the theory. But, in practice, it turned out our brains simply couldn’t cope with sorting out the facts from the fiction. People became more stupid. The wealth of misinformation drowned out the true and factual information. Opinion triumphed over truth.”

“Oh, your surprise is on the porch.”

“Er… thanks.” She frowned as she turned to look out of the open door.

“You’re welcome.” Louisa laughed over her shoulder as she wandered down the hallway.

Olivia’s gaze fell on a figure climbing the steps to the porch wearing a uniform. “A cop? You brought me a cop?” she yelled over her shoulder in the direction of the kitchen. “What am I supposed to do with him?”

I entered the grand room with more force than I meant to, and Teddy jumped and said louder than I’m sure he intended, “Oh shiitake mushrooms, Poe, you scared the lollipops out of me.”

I was so taken back by his words, I ended up laughing. It was also an uncommon thing for me. “What did you say?”

“Sorry.” He shrugged. “I limit curse words around Rosie. Sometimes it makes me seem weird.”

Audiobook ...

This has been on my TBR for way too long waiting for it to hit KU. However, the audiobook is included in my Spotify subscription so let's try that! 😉 Everything about the blurb sounds like exactly my kinda cozy mystery read ... hope it doesn't let me down. 😁

I realize from the wet patch on my sweatpants that I barely even noticed rubbing one out as I let him use me, I was so fucking turned on.

“That’s it,” I say, ignoring the dreamy, far-away tone of my voice. Silas looks down at me sharply. “No one has ever done sex as good as we do sex. We sex the best. Sex champions.”

Okay, I may be a little dickmatized, but I’m alright with that. It was incredible.
